    Log Cabins for Christmas

    Can anyone recommed any?

Would prefer Scotland up and away from everywhere however as I have never done this before I am open to different places,

Thank you in advance, just fancy a change

Love the idea of this too, following with interest as already struggling with space logistics for 3 families whilst considering distancing should that be in place still.

Suffolk escape looks amazing, seen that recommended before.

You could look at Centre Parcs. Not as pricey as you’d think for Christmas and masses to do while you’re there.

I found it more cost effective to stay at home and burn £20 notes in the garden!

Well my wife, myself and our 2 year old daughter have been at the Elveden CP since last Friday and are having a brilliant time despite the varied weather conditions.

We’ve been zooming everywhere on bicycles with a kiddy chair on the back of mine, having breakfast or lunch out at a different restaurant each day, swimming, riding horses, doing the mini tree top trek, making teddies, playing badminton and a few other things. I’ve had two rounds of golf (3 par 9 holes) on my own and my wife has had a pedicure and a massage.

The budget is blown, but it’s cost us less than a third of what the two weeks in Greece might have cost us if C19 hadn’t reared it’s head.

I’d say CParcs is a great place to come if you have young kids. Maybe not if you’re an older couple without kids.

We did get lucky on a last minute cancellation at a good price.

Prior to finding this week’s cancellation we had been looking at a nice place on the banks of lake Windimere in Cumbria.

I still fancy giving it a go some time.

This was one of the places. There are others of higher and lower quality. Waking up to views over the lake must be rather nice. Could be good for a Christmas break.

We love CParcs but we spend a good 6hours daily in the pool, which I understand can’t be done now.

    I wouldn’t go if I didn’t have a child though.

If you’re after a proper cabin, look no further than these guys:

    Yes, they’re proper.

Never understood why garden offices/summerhouses are called log cabins. They’re glorified sheds made from planks.

We went to Wales for a few days in Summer and the place and location were amazing. We stayed in the Red Kite Lodge on Manor Farm Lodges.

The lodge was well equipped and the surroundings were beautiful, hot tub was a bonys. I would go again.
