First time with a Grand Seiko

Last Saturday I ended up in a mates house and had one too many glasses of wine. Another guest there had this beautiful Grand Seiko on. I’ve seen these a lot on line and here on TZ-UK but I’ve never held one.

Beautiful finish on it, and the dial on this particular one changed colour in the sun like a peacock! Amazing piece.

The venerable SBGJ227... indeed called the Peacock. They are stunning, and sought after; your friend bought well

Ah he did mention peacock but I didn’t know that was its name. Oh we tried to set the date but with blurred vision this was a no go

Very cool. Seiko make some of the coolest dials in my opion. They always look even more stunning in the flesh.
