    and it is great.

Do not judge this watch until its been on your wrist.

    Let the marmite flinging start.

It's certainly distinctive, and a bit different.

Was intrigued about the origin and googled this :

    https://millenarywatches.com/tudor-p01/

    Interesting article.

It's nearly great, but slightly odd. Back to the 80s with a bracelet / strap combination! Never quite seen the point personally, and the brown looks odd to my eyes. Doesn't look easy to swap for something else, though I guess the leather bit can be replaced. So 7 out of 10 for me.

I was about to say I quite like it (apart from being far too big ) but don't understand it. But now I understand it a little better.

I like these more and more
They are common to see in ADs as well now.

I just think its a watch that doesn't photograph that well due to its lug to lug size.

On the right wrist its a dream of a watch, you might think im a big watch fan but my perfect dimensions are 36-39mm.

I found this watch while trying on a bb58 which I thought was going to be perfect.

Strange day to fall for a P01.

Move the crown to 3, and I'd like it.

Not a model I’d be rushing to buy, but it is a curious and interesting watch that will provoke plenty of conversation. I wouldn’t rule out ownership in the longer term as a collector, because there’s something cool about its oddity. It’s also not one that you’ll see every punter wearing in an Essex nightclub, or in Puerto Banus. That’s a good thing in my book. Wear in good health.

I remain in the No camp, I'm afraid.
I had a good Look at Ben's recently. The dial/hand combo is lovely, but the rest leaves me cold.
Doesn't mean I don't understand the appeal, I do. I just do not share it. At all.

Not for me - I wouldn't get used to the look, not to mention I would find it too bulky. But irrelevant. I quite like the idea of a bezel locking mechanism, mine do occasionally move which annoys me somewhat.

I assume the strap end of the lugs are normal meaning you have your choice of straps? How do you find the hybrid leather/rubber design?

I'm intrigued by Jon's barcode (looks like that anyway)...

I think this would look great if those end links were removed and put a nato onto the springbars. Do you know if this is possible with the design??

I applaud them for something different but definitely a no from me. It looks like a watch student's project in terms of the incongruous styling elements with the aim of differentiating it from what's out there.

Looks more Bovril to me but thats okay because I enjoy Bovril as a drink, on toast or on digestives.

    Congratulations. Such a handsome piece.

A different bezel insert and a traditional case and it would be great. As it stands not for me but always nice to see something different.

When it released, like pretty much everyone else I absolutely hated it - but trying it on in person I liked it a little more. Is it something I'd buy even at 50% off - probably not, but with the right personal style I can see how it'd work. It kind of reminds me of the sort of bund strap surfer dude watches that were popular in the very early 2000s.

It's cool that they tried something other than another Black Bay variant

One of my current favourites: less usual, functional, well built and more competitive priced than some Seikos.
The only thing I'd like to see change is the strap/bracelet system, to allow use with a wider range of options.

It looks awful in that photo! Emphasizes the peculiar bulky bits!

I’m a big Tudor fan, applaud them for making this watch and maybe, one day, it will be one of those that I let get away. I tried one on after the launch, didn’t like it as it looked a bit silly on my wrist and I struggled to appreciate the overall design. Every time I see another photo of it, I dislike it more. Sorry .

The world would be a very boring place though, if we all liked the same things. Congrats on a new addition and hope you enjoy wearing it.

And how long will it be until the police let you remove your electronic tag?

    Only joking

It actually looks a lot nicer on your wrist then I think it does in product shots. The dimensions look better. Still definitely an oddball, but nothing wrong with that!

    Close, it's a QR code.

Why the intrigue? I believe all new Tudor and Rolex have one.

Watchgeko tropic arrived this morning and I think it gives back a bit of the prototype vibe and it will protect my Tudor rubber/leather strap.

Definitely an improvement on that strap I'd say.

There’s a lot I like about this watch, the snowflake hour hand, dial, sapphire etc. But that end link that connects the case to the bracelet is something I couldn’t get over. However as mentioned how boring if we all liked the same watches hey.

Looks good on the new strap but anyone that owns on willing to pop it on a nato, getting those end links completely off. I can't find anyone that has done it yet??

I really like these. I tried one on in mappin and Webb in Glasgow and it just felt too long across my wrist. I was still tempted though. You see them in the window a fair amount.

The watch is like me and women 50% like me 50% think I’m fat, ugly with side dangly bits they would like to see removed.

I like it and the concept but it just looks like the end links don't fit well at all, they appear to be raised much higher above the case of the watch.
Might just be how it appears in photos?

Best strap for this watch that I’ve seen. Far better than any photos of the OEM or other aftermarket straps. I could almost be convinced!

Just too busy for me. If there were a slightly simplified version it would suit my tastes but it will of course appeal to some. I like the face but it just seems like too many end links...
