Recently i bought this two tone speedmaster date (head only).
I liked the unusual dial (it is a japan only edition, from 1997, 1 year only production).
Was checking which was the best strap for it. I decided to try a rubber one with deployment clasp from a china seller for approximately 9 quid.
For me it looks a great, the black dial is matte like the rubber strap, the contrast of the gold on black and the red accents are beautiful.
What do you think?

Quite nice but it doesn't fit the lugs. That would kill it for me.
Good match but as said, it's good to have a neat lug fit.
I have my standard speedy on the custom black velcro gas gas bones with the omega sign buckle. Worth checking out.

Have to agree regarding the lugs. Rest of the design is great and fits well in my opinion

Yes the lug figment would drive me crazy .
Looks good but as others have said lug fit would bug me
