We have a 10 year old Outwell Trout Lake 4 with front extension all in polycotton and it has been faultless. Very heavy though.

We had these or a variation called a Nijer. Big, heavy and lasted for ever.

Another vote for Outwell here, we had the Poly cotton Wolf lake 7 which just fitted in a 10mx10m pitch.

A canvas tent to sleep five will weight a ton!

My go-to for a large tent is the Outwell Montana 6P. Have a google - it's excellent. Takes about 20 minutes to set up, without causing a marital and it's tall enough to stand in. Really pleased with ours.

Cabanon certainly make some of the best leisure tents on the market. We bought an Aruba about 20 years ago that we used to use regularly. They’re very expensive new but cheap second hand. They’re also bulky and weigh a ton so make sure you’ve got the means to transport eg trailer. On the positive side, cOndenstaion isn’t an issue, Many you can cook in them and will happily shrug off the worst of weather.
