    IWC Portuguese 40mm

Rather nice. Good size. A bit steep though....

Agreed, do like these... but, to be honest there are other watches in that price bracket that I would consider first.
Maybe because I have a similar Stowa MO, but all that could change if I get to see one in the flesh.

Tis extremely nice and I’m sure as with all IWC you’d be able to get a nice discount

I really like the look of these, particularly the white with blue details but 40mm may be too big for a dressier 'all dial' watch. I have a 40mm Mark18 and it wears HUGE. Lug to lug height appears to be much less on the new Portugieser so that will help but even so it may be simply too big.

RRP is high but at 50 - 60% in a few years it starts to look better value.

I like the fact that IWC have launched some 40mm models. I have had the 44/45mm models before. Always liked their design but just wore too big, even if I take into account that they are supposed to be big. Ended up letting them go.

I think in a few years, on the secondary market, these will be decent value.

Still prefer the Chrono which is marginally bigger but it’s a lovely simple watch.

Due to virtually no bezel it wears absolutely huge though - hoping this one will wear a bit better.
