I've been following this whole expedition. The coverage has been amazing, combined with using a tracking app to stand in my back garden at night watching them whizz past at 17,000mph.

6.48pm tonight is the trunk separation before re-entry. Splashdown expected at 7.48pm.

The 'ISS Live Now' phone and tablet app is brilliant for tracking all this.

That was intense! Perfect result, glad to have seen it both start and end.

Outstanding! I was listening to the feed whilst prepping supper, so I didn’t get bored with the same camera view of the control room.

Did you notice that the first pictures around when they deployed the drogues came from a "WB-57 airplane"? Did you wonder what it was?

I did...and found it is one of NASA's high altitude atmospheric research aircraft. A couple links:

...the second of which shows its pedigree.

I was also watching this live and am in awe of what Musk and SpaceX (plus Tesla, Solar Roof etc.) are achieving. Obviously NASA has a wider portfolio of activities but given its budget of $22.6BN, SpaceX must be a constant topic of conversation at its Board meetings and in the US Government's governance bodies.

Amazing, as said before SpaceX are achieving great things.

Also great to see the capsule coming down on parachutes, reminding me of the way we used to see the Apollo capsules coming down into the sea.
