    Two weeks, two Nomos.

Do you think I like the marque?

Very nice Dave. I love the Metro. Did that come from SC by any chance?

Big fan of the metro too - quirky and different which is good if you're not a huge fan of the standard Nomos look. Congrats with both - interesting date complication on the other Nomos too. What sold you on Nomos?

Me too. I'm keeping an eye on Watches Of Mayfair. They are the cheapest I've found so far but the £ keeps weakening so the prices are going up.

Both lovely watches. The little splash of colour on the Metro is very nice. I’m also a Nomos fan. This is mine and it’s staying with me.

No but thanks for the suggestion. They are a little more expensive but will keep my eye on them 👍

    Very nice

I've had a few Nomos, mainly Clubs in different guises, but not for a long time.

However, while idly browsing the pre-owned section of an online store I was led to via a thread on here (isn't that how it always happens?), I was struck by this one …

Only 12 months old, mint condition and a new brown cordovan strap, so I couldn't resist. I needed some contrast to all the divers, military and sports watches in the box

    Snap!

Thinking of trading mine in for one of the more colourful versions now though, I was using it as a dress watch but haven't worn a suit since lockdown.

The Orions are shorter lugs than a lot of the others I think. I agree that the lug to lug can be quite large, but then they make a bunch of different sizes for a reason. I think a lot of people write off the smaller sizes even though they wear a lot bigger than you'd think.

I can confirm this is the case. I received the 38 Date today and the lugs are definitely shorter than the Clubs I owned.

There's hardly any gap between case and strap, whereas on the Club you could drive a bus through.

I'm still not sure about it though – it wears quite large for a 38.5mm

It does wear large still, but it's so thin which I think compensates.

You might find that 35mm is the right size though, most people ignore it because it sounds tiny but it wears more like a 38.
