On the recommendation of a tarmac company we had a drive recovered with Tarmaseal, the principal reason they gave was that it lasted a lot longer than the bitumen-based sealers. That was about 7 years ago and it still looks good today.

Just wondered if anyone could offer an opinion on products like this:
https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Quic...---5L/p/240296
Are they worth the cost, time and effort? Do they improve the look of a tired surface? Do they last or will they wear where the car comes in and out? Is there a better product that this Wickes one I found randomly? Anything else I should know?
As always, very grateful for any thoughts.

I apply the black drive seal every two years as it does start to fade. As long as you clean the drive throughly before application, its really easy and quick apply with a roller and pole attachment.
Sorry to hijack the thread but those that have used these products have you had to deal with moss in the tarmac?
If so what did you do before sealing? And does the moss come back?
Thanks for any help, amazing the stuff I find out on here!!!

Not at all, good shout.
Think I once had a thread about how to kill moss on tarmac. Jeyes fluid used to be perfect but they reformulated it and it no longer works. I ended up buying some quite expensive stuff which seemed to be quite toxic - you had to wear a mask when applying! That wet & forget sounds worth a try. Yes I’ve used wet and forget as well, it works really well.
Also dishwasher salt sprinkled over moss and left for a few weeks turns it brown, then just power wash or even brush it away with a stiff brush.

Slightly diluted white vinegar will get rid of moss
Iron sulfate cheap and effective for moss. Pretty harmless too.
