    School of Zen Motoring...

God knows how this took so long to stumble across but it tickled my funny bone. Ogmios School of Zen Motoring - should appeal to anyone who has has endured pain of driving in London, episode 2 especially with the Purim holiday.

Ogmios is a musician I follow, used to be a battle rapper but seems to dip his toe in everything these days.

There are two ten minute "Zen Motoring" vids with his commentary over a couple of days dash-cam footage, both worth a watch, you'll come away relaxed and smiling. They are basically ASMR spoofs.
"That's an excellent beard. Was that God, on a Quad, racing to join the party"...

Amazing! So random but so funny!

I enjoyed those, thank you, for two reasons -

    1. I miss the UK, and it made me feel homesick! and
    2. Driving in Qatar can be very chaotic, and I've been zen for about 10 five years here!

    Utterly odd, yet utterly brilliant.
Delivered in such a dry way.

'Was that God on a Quad'....

and too many other great lines to remember. Nice to see my old Stokey stomping ground again too.

Thanks for this. Found it oddly peaceful. I just showed it to my eight year old son, not expecting him to last two minutes and surprisingly he watched both of them all the way through.

Only just got round to watching these. As others have observed they definitely manage to radiate a relaxing calm. I'm sure he could do well offering personalised tours on a commissioned basis.

Thread resurrection, just to say this absolutely awesome YouTube series (if three videos can be considered a series) has been picked up by BBC for an iplayer series - available right now.
Only six 12 minute episodes, I'm headed off to binge watch them immediately.

    Superb, thank you!

It's not just Nottingham Asda vans that are driven by hooligans then?

Thanks, I loved revisiting the potholes. Ogmios also mentions more Zen Motoring in the pipeline, excellent stuff.

I'm currently reading The Last London by Iain Sinclair and the first 3 chapters have very much the same vibe and style as the School of Zen Motoring. It's written about Hackney and the surrounding areas, a part of London I only have a passing acquaintance with, and I'm really enjoying it.
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
