This new logo variant look so much better than the bold "smith" words.
Is it just me that think the hourly marker hand is relatively shorter than the minutes hand? They not proportional?
The brand the came back.

Is there really no chance of a batch of 40mm Everest’s with that dial?
In the same boat here as regards 36mm. I think it´s a case of the size enhancing the vintage vibe and similarity with the inspiration model. Great news and all round combo IF you´ve the wrist for it.
A 40 mm version with this logo, the finer second markers and other small improvements, would be a compelling package for me, but as has been said not economically. Maybe there´d be more of a market for 38-39mm by 46mm or so lug to lug version. But there´s so many other models in the pipeline, and could be splitting hairs.

I sport an almost 8" wrist yet enjoy wearing my Seiko "blue lagoon" 43.5mm and my Smiths Expedition and Baby Dreadnought both at 36mm, I've a liking for 38-40mm but some watches are simply too nice to miss out on, I'm lining myself up for the Smiths Navigator in black next although I'm very tempted by the 36mm Smiths Everest with the new logo.

I know what you´re saying mate, only an 8 inch and a fraction wrist here. I tried the Expedition but it just looked too diddy on me, Mrs P thought the same. I wish it were otherwise...tried on one of those Rolex 36 mm OP´s, again just too small looking to be credible and they´d sold all the 39mm ones...now of course they´ve messed the new ones about so probably thwarted, sorry I digress.
It is not hard to understand at all, any watch below 38mm is extreme rare not many watch company do 36mm in the affordable price range, cause watch companies mostly aiming for ppl that desired 39-40mm and they produced 40mm instead 36mm, that's where the sales mostly is.
In my opinion Size 36mm aimed at watch enthusiasts ppl, I in fact I struggle to find 36mm watch till I found out about timefactor.
It is almost a niche market category.
Hence I believe Everest 36mm is lot more high in demand than 40mm as most timefactor fans are total suckers for watches...
For me I feel 36mm has more class than 40mm...it is unique and stand out among the crowd....

Just noticed that elderly gent´s also wearing his gaffas de sol in a rather idiosyncratic fashion also. groovy.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
Looks great, is the crown a fraction larger, maybe it’s my eyes...
Looks great. Can't wait to order one!
De Luxe is the name that Smiths used historically for their best watches. The original Everest watch in 1953 was a Du Luxe model. This is an historically accurate addition. This is a great tweak: keeping 'Great Britain' and adding 'Du Luxe' really is the best of both worlds.
Well done Eddie!!!

OMG, the hands have been improved as well. Hour hand is a bit longer, minute hand a bit thicker
The updates are spot on, I’m sure I will be adding this one to the collection.
Great work.

The hands are a touch larger? Slightly longer and larger hour hand and slightly thicker minute hand. The lume pip on the seconds hand also seems ever so slightly larger and set further back.
I haven’t seen any confirmation that these will be available on Sunday but as they’re now on the website I’m going to assume they are.
Could somebody help me understand the following PRS-25 measurement:
- 11.3mm think (as described on website)
- 14mm think (from the technical drawing).
I like thinner watches, so 14mm isn't great, where as 11.3mm is fine.

It's 11.3mm. The drawings are done very early in the process.

The classic logo really does it give it some extra character! How many pieces are normally ordered on every batch of these?

Will it be the usual polite queue at 2pm ?..... Or a version of Murder ball do we think??...
Will there be any of the white dial variants this time round?
I still plan to (attempt to) purchase a PRS-25 this weekend, but as a thought, what are peoples opinions on the hands? I’ve been looking at them for a while and I think that:
- the minute hand is a touch too long and think, and
- the hour hand is a touch too small and short.
As a pair, they don’t seem balanced. I’d love love to hear other people’s opinions...

I do believe that on the whole the latest/3rd version of the 36mm is by far the nicest; it has the best bracelet, best logo, and a better movement compared to the others, but the minute hand does seem like it's from a bigger watch compared to the hour hand
If the hour hand was scaled up so that it was just inside the hour markers and the minute hand was scaled down such that it just touched the inside of the minute markers, I reckon that +/- in proportions would balance them nicely.

Is it possible to get another set of new hands for the old model with our purchase of the new prs-25?

I’m ultra-excited about this. Fingers crossed I’m online at the right time.

Now that the older logo has returned, could we ever see a change to the boobs logo on the crown?
