Love the look of this. Anyone know where I might get an 18mm waffle strap?

It looks really good, even if I still slightly think that the Smiths brand on a Seiko homage feels a little odd.
One detail I missed on the specification of this was a fully-lumed bezel, which looks great, and from the section drawing it looks like a sapphire one? Is it?

It can be arranged if you make a note in the comments box on the order. Only have short and curly ones left now though.

Limited edition if there ever was one! Make sure you keep the box and papers for future re-sale.

Really, really enjoying that angled bezel and I think it gets emphasized by the smaller size. The original Willards had a bit of an soft curve to their bezels, but Seiko straightened it out (and screwed it up) in their new SPBs. This is a much better and more interesting direction to go in. Throwing a sharp, flat bezel onto such an organically-shaped case always seems...wrong.

Anyway, I was sold from the first photos of this one. Setting an alarm for August 2nd.

Ah, the Sheffield equivalent of a ''Bremont'' special edition.

Yup, price revealed today. Given I'd anticipated a shade over £400, I'm definitely having one.

Looks good - any chance of different colour versions in the future like the Caribbean .... or adding the Smith's boobies branding to match the rest of the range?

Think I'll be opting out of the rare 'Sheffield' special edition...

It's the 'Sheffield' special edition that'll make it a collectors set - you need box, papers and 'the special stuff' to make it a full set. I for one will be requesting the full set.

Suppose you could say the maker puts a bit of himself into each of his watches....

Or maybe a modern version of the Victorian mourning brooches

I got the same - clicking away like mad from 2 on the dot and wouldn't show a price in shopping basket and wouldn't complete cos less than £8 - by 2.03 said all sold out !! What a bust - I'm thinking perhaps not worth the hassle/wait....
