Strangest news story you've read recently

I read this a week ago and I can't get it out of my head. I think the guy needs to find an unreasonably expensive hobby to keep him busy. Watches could be a good one.

The nasa Rover mission to Mars spent many years trudging across the surface, faithfully sending back photos. Then it sent the following; ‘battery low and it’s getting dark.’ And was never heard from again.

and from The Grimsby Telegraph ..

This defies belief .. A product recall .

"Highland Bay Seafoods is recalling their Baked Whole King Scallops with a creamy leek and kale sauce topped with mash potato because it contains fish which is not mentioned on the label.
This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to fish. "

Theres a great blog and a facebook page dedicated to 'Angry People in Local Newspapers' by exhibiting the unhappy 'compo face' i think they expect a freebie/compensation/attention etc.
This was taking it to the ultimate conclusion - a story with compo face about Compo's face - brilliant!

It's not just money that marriage costs you, though... sanity goes first.

Divorce removes the rest of the money (and everything else, apparently), but restores sanity.

I like this quote about his girlfriend best:

They're 100% on TZ and there are even a few women wearing men's watches threads. Curious.

"I first began to feel an attraction towards being carried in 1978, when I was 11 years old."

Who here has contributed or started those threads and is 54 now? Anyone a civil servant from Croydon and now t-total?

So many quotable lines from that story. I know everyone has their kinks but wow.

I have just seen this, it made me laugh out loud.

“Have you ever had a bad fetish experience?

One lift and carry almost ended in disaster.

In 2006, I asked two girls in Madrid to carry me. They duly did, but I hadn’t realised they were taking me to meet two men who promptly mugged me. One held me round my neck, while the other took my wallet.

They all ran off. Although I was struggling to breathe for a bit, at least they didn’t have a knife, or it could have been very nasty.

    I enjoyed the lift, though.”
