Thread: Recommend a bracelet adjustment Tool

    Recommend a bracelet adjustment Tool

Long story short, i bought a cheap Chinese bracelet adjustment Tool on ebay and it may as well have been made from putty.

The tool ends bent with very little pressure and the whole thing was not fit for purpose.

My fault for buying a cheap one i know.

So i dont want to make the same mistake twice.

What is an actually good one to get that is durable please ?

You want to adjust a bracelet that uses pins?

Yes. I have a Staib bracelet and the pins are incredibly stiff. I tried with my usual improvised tools that normally work on most but these are a swine....

I had a look under a magnifier and they are pins and not tiny screws or anything.

    My experience has been

The usual "pin pusher" tools off ebay normally work quite well and free the pins relatively easily

I have had a couple of issues and in my case the pin or screw was not what I initially thought it was and even was not what I was first told it was, (by the bracelet supplier).

I'd double check exactly how the links are held together ........, can you find any info on-line to confirm the system used

(just another check, and I know it may sound obvious so I don't want to offend, but if they are pins are you pushing the correct way?)

I've used this one for a few years. You can buy a bulk load of replacement pins for a few quid as well.

My Bergeon bends as easily as the Chinese cr@p. Which is irksome...

So, for the awkward split-pins I use a tiny drift, like this, and a bracelet block, like this.

    Just use your own name.

The trade bit is just to save them from distance selling regulations as traders usually know what they want.
    Cheers,
    Neil.
