    Blancpain

Lots of love for the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms on the form recently but other models from Blancpain seem to be overlooked .

Blancpain have had some fabulous models outwith the FF range including the Ultra slim collection and 100 hrs power reserve which can be picked up at reasonable costs compared to popular brands .

So lets see some pictures from owners , I know there’s at least a few on the form .

I’ll start with my newest arrival the Leman flyback, few can do AR like Blancpain

Stunning, never really looked at or seen one in person but that may have to change now

Wow. That face looks like a render (and that’s a good thing).

I quite fancied one of the Trilogy, specifically the GMT, but ended up with a BB GMT instead.

That’s a lovely pick up, very high quality watch and these are still amazing value.

Great timing. The Leman Flyback is a much undervalued treasure. I am thinking of adding this -

    to this -

A brand not as widely appreciated as it should be, IMHO:

    That’s a great find.
I think the Leman Flyback is very underrated.
I’ve been trying to find one of these for a couple of years now but sadly not found the right one yet.
There seems to be fewer and fewer decent examples available now and prices nudging up.
    Well done.

Why did they discontinue the Aqua Lung? I used to admire them a lot.

The Aqua Lung big date was a limited edition of 2005 pieces.

Wasn’t there a whole line of AL models?

Is it a limited edition as that’s not the bracelet usually supplied?

No, a standard 2004 watch. Dealer had BP fit the new bracelet (which I rather like and is unworn/plastic wrapped), and they tested it at the same time.

It’s very nice and IMO suits the watch.

The bracelet is a cracker. Looks as if it will be a good pick up!

Thanks I thought so - you'd think the smaller version would work due to the dial space, but it somehow manages to cramp up the dial. One reason why I like the bathyscaphe flyback chrono as it fills the dial really well. The bathyscaphe line in general is very underrated and you can probably find a few bargains.

A very timely thread considering this, my first Blancpain, arrived via an SC deal today

84EAA068-057B-4028-A72A-1CFBC0EF9007 by Matt G, on Flickr

    (ignore the resolving sunburn!)

Unfortunately the FF was too big for me but this is obviously a lot smaller. It is an indirect replacement for an 36mm Explorer 1 I sold recently but has the advantage of a date, 100 hr power reserve and of course is around half the price...

The strap (non OEM) will require replacement soon so interested in what people would suggest to replace it? I'm not intending to keep it solely as a dress watch so doesn't require something too dressy. Lug width is 20mm.

One of these was advertised recently on SC fitted with a fine mesh bracelet.
I thought that looked a nice combination.

    Blancpain

I love Blancpain and the now discontinued Leman line was particularly charming. I can see a Villeret QP in my future. Loved their jumping hour tourbillon released the other year but way out of my league!

Here is my Leman Perpetual Chronograph.

BP seem to be promoting the air command a lot on social media recently. The more I see it the more I like it a lot. Lady’s one he sold very reasonably recently might seem a very good deal in the future for whoever bought it.

One very like this actually ;). I'm not a big fan of mesh so that's why I didn't go for the bracelet option. Currently thinking of either a sailcloth strap to dress down as I consider that quite a BP look or a black leather similar to the current brown (or both...)
