However a few have surfaced including a guy who bought one new in 1976 and still has it

So to cut a long story short Heuer have been consulted and pictures submitted and they recently confirmed they did make these in the blue face which I have on today and the silver which I’ve also pictured below which also say in my rogues box. They confirmed they have one in the museum archive - so a new Heuer for you!

I have another pair (different cases and design) from a similar era, same movement and same quality dial print which we are also trying to get a view from the factory on. Great to discover new references

Wow!! That blue dial in particular is a stunner - congrats and brilliant research, must be incredibly satisfying

Thanks John, an opportunity arose to buy back my old 5512 so I took it. Last time I sold it I bought a Ceramic Daytona off some chap, wonder what ever happened to that

Another Citizen for this Friday's list, the "Ray Mears 2" (or the BN0118-04E if you're feeling prosaic" on a Hirsch Pure caoutchouc strap. Solar powered, monocoque case, 300m WR, titanium, blue lume, quartz accuracy and the second hands hits the markers all the way round! What's not to like?
Have a safe and enjoyable weekend everyone.

Was planning to take myself for a late afternoon's Pike fishing, but it's bucketing down; so going to have a shower, change over to this, and then prepare tonight's dinner.

    Best Regards - Peter

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

I'll probably never find one for sale as its an LE so I'll set myself a challenge of finding a watch that has the closest look to this, I guess the easiest part will be sourcing a strap.

I hope to report back in due course. Or I could just try posting a WTB but that would probably spoil all the fun!

Nice. This reminds me of the Omega Megaquartz Stardust which is a watch I’ve always wanted.

And now I feel a wtb coming along!

Hecla on a yet another new strap. This time, a Hirsch Performance thing, which so far I like very much.

    Enjoy the weekend
