Bit of a story behind this little manual Heuer Carrera looking watch - so for anybody interested.....
I had two of these in my ‘rogues’ box - along with some other Heuers of dubious origins always thought to be frankens / reprinted dials of some sort
However a few have surfaced including a guy who bought one new in 1976 and still has it
So to cut a long story short Heuer have been consulted and pictures submitted and they recently confirmed they did make these in the blue face which I have on today and the silver which I’ve also pictured below which also say in my rogues box. They confirmed they have one in the museum archive - so a new Heuer for you!
I have another pair (different cases and design) from a similar era, same movement and same quality dial print which we are also trying to get a view from the factory on. Great to discover new references

What are the odds of two fairly rare watches being posted with exactly the same time, the same date (especially as it's not today's date), the same seconds and almost the same flooring. Must be a million to one, but for all the Pratchett fans out there, maybe that's not so much of a coincidence.

Ha ha! Those matching Zeniths... great!!
I’m still wearing this - in the shower, in bed and all sorts ;)

Great to see some unusual/less common watches today!

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
Loving some of the old Heuer content on here today.
I'm still with this.
Dug this old Buren out of the watch box and have been wearing it all week

New (to me) Seiko Arnie “Safari” edition, which I’ve bunged in a Haveston M1944 because I can’t leave well enough alone...
I’m a big fan of this design - little touches like the handset, indices and flashes of red really lift the Arnie and IMO make it look pretty damn cool. It’s certainly up to the rigours of dog walking.
Have a great weekend, all!
Bit tighter on the wrist after all this time at home. Might have to add a link and adjust the clasp setting. Or exercise. HAGWE.
Never seen another one of these on the Friday thread... not sure if that's a good thing or not.
A vintage Majex on an equally vintage Prima Flex. In very good condition for its age.
Stay safe all, it's not over yet.

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
Well, a few posts above I was wearing the Helson but then the postman knocked on the door and delivered this....
And yes, I have since adjusted the date. Borealis Navale Bronze CuSn8 - Miyota 9015, sandwich dial, signed bronze crown and buckle, lumed bezel, sapphire crystal. Very happy on first acquaintance.
This for me today.....
HAGWE all.
