    Postage over £2.5k RMSD limit

Advice needed on up to date postage options for a piece over RMSD limit please chaps.

I know F2F is an option but geographically limiting.

    Thanks

    Going from where to where?

    UK, or outside of UK?

Sorry, my question was a bit obtuse.
I was going to offer to help deliver it personally for you if that helped and I was going anywhere nearby, as I regularly drive from Herefordshire to Cambridge/Suffolk/Norfolk area, but I guess this you aren't at that stage yet.

The last I heard was that if the thing you're posting is over £2.5k then you are not covered at all (ie you won't receive £2.5k back if the item was lost and worth £3k) and you need to arrange some other type of insurance. My recommendation would be to contact Mailboxes Etc and search the forum for more info- there are innumerable threads on this but they've never been made 'stickies' to the best of my knowledge

You can use RMSD but suggest buying additional separate insurance if you are concerned about loss or damage in transit - which would be your liability.

check the search function - topic is perennial
