Oh yes! Really like this but not sure I could live with not having a second hand.....

I would prob got for an ALS 380.028. Should be achievable at the top end of the budget.

I'm fancying a Panerai.. PAM00422 perhaps for the full fat experience. £8500 new but would be under £7k used I'm sure.

Failing that a Big Pilot of some sort would be in this bracket and is on my list.

Fifty fathoms milspec I think - 40mm so not too big and I don’t think I’d tire of it.

It’s a bit of a departure but if I wanted a new watch rather than vintage, I really like the Octo. In steel, the tone-on-tone silver dial version looks great on the wrist. Not my wrist, sadly. Properly super-slim for a chronolo too.

I went for a gold Calatrava! Yer patrimony also a stunning watch, arguably the better watch to be honest!

VC Overseas should be possible if you shop around and have decent negotiation skills

    Tough choices

An interesting Reverso, Lange 1815 Up & Down [the smaller first gen], or VC Patrimony Traditionale .

A Girard-Perregaux Laureato 38mm, unless I could get a VC overseas for that money.

Second submission - just realised you could find the PP 5035J Annual Calendar just on the 15k mark as well...

    An excellent call.👍

I will have to think if there is anyone I know who may be looking to move one on at some point this year.😀

This one, got it during lockdown and only worn a couple of times around house. Hopefully more occasions to wear this soon!

£7k-15k watch, what would you buy?

If I’m allowed two, I would go with a very original Seamaster 300 from the 60s and an Enicar Sherpa Graph. Might get change out of 15K.

Great choice, but prices have gone above my comfort zone.

    Hate missing the boat!

Oh my! where is my 'speechless' emoji? I would be wearing it everyday even if still in lockdown - to brighten up my day. Superb choice. Don't sell it for goodness sake - or let me know first ;-)

That PP is certainly something special ... I think I might have gone for a Dornbluth Regulator.

I was sort of in similar boat last year and ended up buying Bulgari Octo Finissimo satin finished, you can get it BIN from grey for 7k so it is on the lower end of the price spectrum but the finish is exemplary and you get stylish thin watch rather than behemoth Offshore from AP (not that there is anything wrong with it, just alternative).

+1 on the 5196 range a lot of watch that can be had in the secondhand market within the op budget. Great wearable size at 37mm

I’d be very conservative either Omega or Rolex vintage Speedmaster or Sub with maybe a venture into a Big Blue or an SM300
