Sophisticated scams : watches obtained by "repairers"

A few cases lately where it is reported that watch repairers / people claiming to be repairers or acting as messengers for them have obtained significant watches. Crude but simple deception which has caught the unwary, but the perpetrators do seem to have a good knowledge of watches. Trust no-one!

    Reported lost this way :

    1. Roger Dubuis Hommage (Model Ref: RDDBHO0565/Serial No: L233CP)
    2. Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grand Ultra-Thin (Model Ref: Q1358470/Serial No: 2499747)

    also :

    18ct yellow gold Omega Constellation cal 561 - 24448357, 168.004/14
9ct pink gold Rolex Precision 4425
    18ct YG Rolex Day-Date 1803 - 2014806, 1556 cal # DD307952
    18ct YG Rolex Day-Date 1803 - 784448. 1555 cal
    18ct YG Omega Seamaster cal 752 - 26997180, 16665.032
    18ct YG Rolex Precision 8940, cal 1210 # N98762
    9ct YG Rolex Precision coin-edge, cal 1210 # N00305
Patek Philippe 18ct YG Subsidiary Seconds Dial Case Serial 423880, 2572, cal 10-00 748072
    Patek Philippe 18ct YG Gubelin signed dial, 3410, cal 27-AM400 # 734426

    I have more details.

Wow, that's one I would never have thought of.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
