Tag Heuer Monaco Appreciation Thread - show em off...

    Hi,
Seem to be a few owners on here with different versions different straps and even a few bracelets. Not for everyone I know , but I love em. I’ll start.

Very nice. What is the bracelet? It will be a few days before I'm back home and I'll need to re-learn how to post pics.

Is that a blue dial looking really dark in the light? Have to say, the Jubliee bracelet is a winner. This combination is the one I have always wanted...

The bracelet really suits, particularly as the links are angular, similar to the case. Good choice. Mine is currently on a Corfam type strap and I have an NSA style bracelet that needs an adjustment before I can fit it.

    It’s this one.

    https://www.watchgecko.com/divers-sh...el-watch-strap

Shaldon -£28 from watch gecko U.K.
You will need a 22mm size lug and patience when fitting the lug pins. They don’t provide any so I used the original Monaco ones which were a total bar stuart to fit.

Get loads of tape on the lugs when you fit the bracelet. The lug pins are a nightmare. What Monaco you fitting it to?

Needs more pictures on this thread. Still toss & turn between the classic calibre 11 Blue & Speedy Pro in what Chrono to purchase. Currently the Monaco is winning. Did also see one on the wild waiting at the butchers on e weekend!

Used to own this beauty - lovely lovely piece, and for a while was my only watch! Joining forums etc persuaded me to buy more than one watch and in the end it didn’t get worn at all, so it found a new home.

I had this choice, really wanted the Monaco, but talked myself into the Speedy, as it was the more conventional choice. I’ve never really bonded with the Speedy, and regret not being braver at the time. Needless to say my watch fund is probably destined for a Calibre 11 in the next few months.

Had many Tag ones over the years and still have one. My main love of Monacos has always been the original Heuer ones

    Lug pins were a twat.
Had to rub down the ends of the bracelet a little.
    But yes super cool.
    Thanks again

Off to check out the Gecko, £28 is worth a try over the cost from TH if I could get one.

Many thanks OP for posting your original photo of your lovely Monaco on the bracelet and the link of where to purchase it from. It's a good quality bracelet and works very well with the watch, though a difficult fit as you said.

    Heres mine, bracelet arrived today.

Personally I find the Monaco a top heavy and robust watch, it's not always the most comfortable or central fit when worn on a strap. This bracelet with its retro vibe and case matching robust construction, has breathed new life in to the Monaco at a very affordable price.

Thanks again for starting this thread and showing how good this bracelet works with the Monaco, much appreciated mate!

It’s unusual that it has the three buttons located when they are, ie not all three on right side, it’s got calibre 11 written on the dial, and the indices (little number lines) go around the dial like a calibre 12. Seems to be a mix of calibre 11 & 12.
    What model is that?

    It is indeed.
Always loved the Monaco but wasn't struck in the blue so when I saw this it was an easy choice.
Very versatile I've had on grey sailcloth, tan leather and a cracking gecko rally strap
