New printer for home use - Any recommendations?

I'm looking for a new printer for home use as the Canon one I have keeps burning out the print heads. Only for occasional use and don't want to spend a lot on one. Reliability would be better than cheap cartridges etc. Wi-fi connect and copier/scanner a must. Any recommendations?

(I know there's another thread about 'home office' printers, but I think he's looking for something better quality and I didn't want to hijack his thread! )
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

    wireless for a start.

I have a HP envy, was around £75, took a HP instant ink subscription which cost £30 a year, they send you the ink when the printer runs low and they detect the levels via your wifi connection (based on volume of printed pages p/m) and its great for light use at home.

If thinking of instant ink do some calculations first. Can work out very expensive.

I bought a cheap Canon printer from Asda 4 weeks ago to print out my daughters schoolwork and so far spent £70 on 2 lots of cartridges, so i binned that and bought a 1 year old network laser printer off facebook marketplace from a local business and it had 15k in the colours but only 1k in the black, but given i was getting about 40 pages for £35 with the canon it seems great value for £100 all in and i can print from my ipad and iphone

I have instant ink, got it free for 12 months with the printer to help me through my masters and family use. Thus far it’s still free and think it would work fine if you chose the correct contract to match your usage. However I have also been caught out when I had to print some larger volumes.

Think I’ll terminate the contract when the free ink offer expires. I think I’d like to go for a laser printer just purely from a quality perspective, I feel the printed word is never as sharp with an inkjet setup.

Whatever is on special at Curry's PC World is the best answer. Also it's the only thing I will buy the 'extended instant replacement warranty' for. I had a Kodak which was quite good but rarely used and when the inks finally ran out I took it back and said it wasn't working. But they didn't have any more Kodaks so they gave me the Canon TS6200 I have currently.

I got a HP Office Jet Pro 9010 Series 3 after a recommendation from a friend who is really into all this area (he has one and we have one other friend in common who has one also).
Works really well so far, has WiFi, scanning, print from phone etc etc
As with all printers cost is the cartridges not the hardware.

"occasional use" is the problem here. If an inkjet is just sitting there and only printing every couple of weeks it will kill the printheads.

Most lasers that tick your boxes are bulky though, and bloody expensive to run if you use genuine toners.

    There's no easy answer here.

I did wonder if only using it occasionally was the problem.
