The latter unfortunately. The gap is a killer and wouldn't be so bad if that gap was there with a strap, but with a bracelet it just looks wrong.
Either find some end links to fill the gap or go OEM.
Vintage vibe or a bit cr*p?
Just fitted it so not made my mind up yet. I’m seeing if I can get away with a cheap bracelet before splashing £125 on the OEM one.

It's a no for me, the finish on the bracelet doesn't look right against the lugs and that's without the fact that straight endlinks always look cheap. I wouldn't bother with the OEM bracelet either, this watch will always look best on something green and canvas.
This bracelet looks cheap to me, even on a a Speedy or a Grand Seiko. To my eyes, it doesn’t suit this watch. I would put it on a NATO or a leather strap.

It’s not awful but they don’t quite match.
If it were a straight oyster type strap it might a bit more complete.
I do think these look better on a NATO or leather strap. The lugs are long and the holes are towards the top of the lugs so the gap is quite large.
I think something like a Haveston Canvas would look great.

Cheers....I thought that would be the case. It does look a bit nasty. I've got a boat-load of natos and it's spent a lot of time on those so back on the nato it goes. I was thinking about selling it and buying an Everest 40mm from Eddie. Against my better judgement I thought I'd run the gauntlet of the Sunday fortnightly lottery but on checking the TF site I now see it's closed for another month!!!!
One of my pet peeves, straight end bracelet on curved case, never looks right in my opinion.
Cheers..

In principle I'm not opposed to the absence of end links, but for that I think you need to go a bit more retro. A Speidel or something.
Its does look wrong for some reason, though I can't quite work out why! Something about the size & proportions?? There again, I don't like the watch at all....
Yeah definitely needs a canvas strap or a thick nato type
It's a no for me on that bracelet, looks much better on the nato.
I never liked the look of my old Khaki on its bracelet, so I bought the OEM rubber strap which was brilliant IMO.
From memory it cost about £60 I think.
I cannot chew that gap. If ss is the only way then get the original and make it happy... beautiful singlepass/perlon options for the summer, it is a strap monster

A bit late to this one, but I would agree with the majority verdict that it looks a bit meh on that bracelet, David.
I’m actually not sure that the quality of the bracelet is the issue... I just think that watch head doesn’t look right on a bracelet at all.
If it was me I wouldn’t put it on a NATO either, of course, as my antipathy towards NATOs is well known .

Have to agree with everyone so far. I had mine on a strap or nato and found it versatile and looked good with most.

There are plenty of bracelets available with curved ends, I'd just get one of those for it. Some are quite reasonably priced and good quality as well.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
