Got sidetracked in my quest for a Railmaster 1957

Some of you know I very recently decimated my watch collection hoping to raise enough funds to buy a new Omega Railmaster 1957 from Jomashop at a well-discounted price. Then two things got me sidetracked: I was making some nice money selling some of my watches on eBay; and Jomashop sold out of the '1957.' D'oh!

Having bought and sold vintage watches for 15 years on eBay, I started mining for "opportunities," and before I knew it I had spent $3,000 on ten watches! I thought I retired from this bullsh*t!

This is a deja-vu thread but it was micro brands previously.

I can sympathise, it is far too easy to become sidetracked in this hobby, expecially with auction sites. I've been trying to get around to having some of mine serviced but end up picking up another watch instead.

However that is what makes collecting so enjoyable too.

    - Dial is matt but should be gloss for a black dial like this
    - Case is for a Geneve
    - Seamaster font is wrong
    - Paint on markers
