We have an old hudl 2 tablet which the kids are using. I wanted to add a keyboard so bought one with a microusb connection, sold for the hudl2.
This doesn't work. There is clearly some connection as on startup of the tablet there is a light on the keyboard but the keys don't respond.
I've tried the keyboard on my phone and that works.
It seems that when a software update was offered from 5.0 to 5.1 otg got switched off/missed out for some bizarre reason. Tesco don't support hudl2 anymore so a software reset isn't an option as the whole thing won't work then I gather.
So this is just a forlorn hope that someone has been through this or found a way around it?

Thanks, I hadn't seen that. It is the same item, I didn't know, apparently pegatron made them.
I'm not sure I'm brave enough to jailbreak it like that as you can't roll it back if it doesn't work I believe.
I've had a refund for the keyboard, no fuss from the manufacturer which was nice, but it still seems a silly thing to do with an "upgrade"
