I can’t believe I’ve not seen a blue pelagos bezel fitted to a black dial model (or vice versa)

Much nicer than the black dial.
Think I prefer the first blue bezel/black dial though.

I wish they‘d give the Pelagos the same treatment, less chunk & steel over titanium, would be great.

Glad to say that my AD kept one aside for me! I messaged my contact on Monday and asked if the rumours are true, can he let me know if he can secure me one. Saw the release and wasn't initially sold on the blue however he told me to pop in and see him. Made the trip yesterday and saw it in person and thankfully the blue is much darker in real life and more to my taste. Waiting to collect it now, hoping that I can make the trip over today otherwise next weekend.

Collected mine yesterday, the blue is about right for me. Getting an outing today and as you would expect wears just as well as the old BB58, being as the blue doesn’t add or remove any weight :-)

I think the blue is spot on for me. I found my Pelagos blue too bright and almost shouty. The blue on the 58 is so much more subtle and shifts in different lights from lighter to darker. It’s really almost a mellow blue. It make the watch more versatile. If it was very vibrant like the Pelagos it would go with fewer outfits.

I almost posted to ask if the blue added / subtracted any weight. Thanks for clearing that up.

I’ve just seen one in a shop window. Not bad in blue but I prefer the original BB58 personally. Lot of watch for the money.

I didn’t take a pic unfortunately as I was on my phone. It was at Chisholm Hunter in Kingston and had a sign under it saying “for display only”. Yes it was on a bracelet. Unusual to see one displayed in this fashion.
