    Fortis watches / Kenissi movements

    https://monochrome-watches.com/inter...ing-the-brand/

I read this interview with the new CEO of Fortis earlier and found it interesting where he outlined what he sees for the future of the company (a focus on robust tool watches only), new models coming this summer, and a shift to using Kenissi movements rather than ETA.

I’d not heard of Kenissi although I did find this article which describes them as being part owned by Chanel and having some links to Tudor (but that may just be that they use the same facilities)

Has anyone heard of them or know any current watches that use their movements?

Have a lot of time for Fortis - just rather reluctantly sold my Marinemaster to a friend, and I know I'm going to miss it.

According to Caliber Corner, Kenissi is indeed a Tudor project, and also make movements for Norquain (deeply underrated independent whose output has tempted me more than once), so this could indeed be a very good move. Watchwiki slates a new Le Locle manufacturing facility by 2022 on land owned by Rolex.

Thanks, that does sound promising then, certainly would be using quality movements. I'm a fan of Fortis as well so hopefully this will be good for the future of the company. I understand your pain at letting your marinemaster go - mine is my favourite of the Fortis watches I own
