Brushed CLs? Is so, then like that. And if the lugs aren't overly long, like the Omega, then Double Plus Good.

Bezel doesn’t work....it needs to be narrower and without the insert. Presently it just looks like a Ranchero with some spare parts stuck on. (Harsh maybe but honest feedback is better than a*** kissing)

Way better than the earlier version with the controversial lugs however I agree that version A is a bit too close to the Seamaster 300.

I do still like the case, lugs and bezel on this one though. One thing I would bring from the previous version B is the blue hands.

Very, very nice but again, a bit too close to the Seamaster 300 for me personally. Haven't you ever considered remaking one of the old Smiths divers?

    Very nice.
Black 3, 6, 9 and 12 on the cream dial, with blued hands for clarity?
    Dave

Ps maybe a white second hand too on the black dial version?

If you have to undertake any changes, please make them minor as I think it looks superb.

Nice watch but I will pass on anything dive watch related. I really like the field/military genre.

    That’s a good looking watch!

I’m strangely drawn to the white/cream face, especially if it did have heat blued hands.

Apologies if this is a daft question, but can someone point me in the right direction to explain the significance of the reverse numbering on the bezel.

    Ta.

Love the look of the watch.

It's a "countdown" bezel, so that the minute hand can be used to indicate remaining minutes before a specified time.

^^ This, it's such a distinctive bezel, dial and handset it makes it look like there is not enough 'Timefactors' in it.

As said, it's lovely. But it does look like a straight up copy of the current 57' Omega SMP and that's not something that attracts me to your watches.

Also, 48mm lug to lug rules me out. But then, I'm aware that I'm a bit of an outlier.

Wow, you're such a Smiths noob! Have you never heard of the famous Twin-lug Smiths diver before? For all you other Smiths philistines out there, I have added a couple of extra lugs for you.

This was a project with Kemmner 6 years ago, before Omega did the re-edition but Kemmner said he couldn't do the bezel. It's a pity he couldn't because I'll not be doing it now that it's a current mdel for Omega.

Too bad, I was liking it, but would have preferred a 36-38mm case diameter.

I like it. I know it's a tall ask, but please some how add a jumping hours feature. The Omega Seamaster version has this, and it allows the watch to be used as a travellers watch. A watch like this, done well, can be a "one watch to rule them all" type watch that you can wear everywhere, including travelling and vacations. Also the watch should have an antimagnetic cage ;-)

I would buy the Omega version of this despite the cost, except I don't like the coaxial as that has serious design flaws. If you made this with an antimagnetic cage, and a jumping hours hand (and preferably with the date that jumps forward or back too), I would 100% buy it.

    This for me.

Whilst the Conquest from Eddie looks fine, it is a copy of an Omega and there are any number available on eBay for less than £100.

Perfect would be something, on the assumption I remember opening times etc, that was a reissue of a Smith's original.

Looks great, but not sure about the white numerals on the cream dial. Would prefer black numerals, or maybe the white looks better in real life than the rendering.

That would have lost me as a customer. 40mm is about as as small as I will go. Shame it's a no go.

    This.

Also, I would ditch the 'fauxtina lume' -- nothing particularly wrong with it, but no particular need for it, either, when everyone and their dog is doing that.

Hold on Eddie, you're saying this is a 6 year-old project of yours with a Miyota movement on the spec sheet?
Sorry, I don't buy it. Surely that is a brand new drawing.

I started it with Kemmner 6 years ago, the drawing at the top of the thread is from my current manufacturer. I mentioned to him that I wanted to do it in the past and without asking, he sent me the drawing.

This is as far as I got with Kemmner:
