    Some new additions to time-design.co.uk

I posted in the Zeno forum here but its very quiet... I'm not sure anyone much visits it.

I don't normally do 'self promotion' but I really like these new designs. ( apart from the Aeroplane logo - but they love it at Zeno)
This really reminds me of the Zeno 'Classic' which I have a black dial of... but its 35mm. this looks very much like an updated larger version.

    The 'Jules' 40 automatic range.

    40mm polished case,

    a real double domed acrylic

    ETA 2824-2 with view back.

great vintage looks and some great colours too.... I know I will not get 100% positive feedback on the designs here but I thought there was enough of us that like the more vintage style of watch.

    anyway take a look:

    Thanks for looking!

I'm sure the stuff under the hood is far superior, but it is what it is. One cheap looking watch.

    Thanks for that.
I think they look great... and I’m willing to bet knowing Zeno they will be great ‘in the flesh’

    These look great all-rounders.

Zeno CH do have the knack of producing some really second-rate images of their watches, but that is very far from unique in the industry, whose webshites [sic] seem to veer between rather bleak full-frontal digital renders that look like some sort of anthropomorphic watch-crime mugshots (and often lack views in any other plane), through to the Zeno approach of using a potato as a camera...

In both cases what you see is rarely what you get - though the first often oversells the watch IME, and in Zeno and many other's case, somewhat undersells it.

I like that blue dial but I'm afraid I can never get beyond the Zeno logo which just says market special to me. I also don't like those hands and it just seems a bit pricey too.

I’m sure they will be very nice in the metal but the logo on all Zeno watches is really off putting. Why choose a logo of a stylised picture of an aircraft in with gear and flaps down??? No aircraft looks good when in that configuration.
If you are going to use a picture of a plane at least use a dynamic picture of one in flight not when it’s on the ground.
The logo is also too large and dominant on the dial.

They then put the logo on their divers watches. Mixed messages at best.

Having seen OPs images, they look a lot better than the manufacturers shots.

I don't mind the logo to be honest.

All I can say is.... I agree about the logo. I wish they would drop it.

When I look at my own collection of Zeno(s) very few have it.

Its always worth asking if it the one thing putting you off.... I have asked about a few models over the years and been told a "Zeno de luxe" version exists with no logo.
The Bauhaus watches are also made with just 'Zeno' on the dial and look far better... but the plane logo version seems to always be the one on their website.

Luckily I mainly buy divers and they rarely have the plane on. ( yes, a few do)

My pics are just iPhone snaps... anyone decent could do a better job ( unless they are whoever works for Zeno )

    Best,

    James.

The Zeno logo (and lots of others, like Orient's Rothman's mashup) are why we will always need Designers - "Have-A-Go-Hans" and chums are a wretched disaster...
