Pre-owned diver or sports watch for around £1000

I've been squirrelling my watch fund money away again and have my sights set on a Sinn U1 or a Muhle Glashutte Marinus (if one ever comes up!) but before I go for it I started to think that there are probably some other options worth considering but other than a couple of Oris models and a Legend diver (which I've previously had) I can't think of much...

    Any good suggestions?

Honestly in that range, save some money and get the Dreadnought Voyager - superb quality and fits the bill entirely.

Used for £1000 is Tag Heuer Aquaracer territory.

Fortis Official Cosmonauts? I know it's technically a pilots watch, but it has 200m of water resistance and a unidirectional countdown bezel.

Thumbs up for the Fortis Cosmonaut. 39mm version is particularly nice.

I recently purchased a Sinn 556i on SC for just under your budget and am extremely impressed with it. It is running at +3 spd and is very good quality and comfortable on the wrist.

You can buy a brand new Sinn 556 on a bracelet from an UK authorized dealer for £985. It does tick a lot of your boxes..

I've linked to his site here.

Have you thought about a Longines Hydroconquest?

Without any doubt the best watch I’ve ever bought for sub £1k is my Oris Aquis, blue face, ceramic bezel.

It’s possibly my favourite watch, but my Seadweller just pips it to the post. I think the strap is better on the Oris

I do like the Aquis but the lugs always put me off... defiantly solid watches but think I'm still sold on a Sinn U1

+1 on the Oris Aquis. However if you already have your mind set on the U1 then it's probably worth the effort to hunt for a pre-owned one at a good price.
