Show us your rubbish promotional watches

Here is my Coca-Cola watch from some time around the mid 90s. Can't remember how exactly I got it but I am the first owner. I read somewhere that if you ever want a watch to be worth something then don't wear it. So as an impressionable kid I convinced myself that one day this would be a priceless heirloom and to this day it has never been worn. Not because I believe that it is worth anything, more that wearing it would be a betrayal of young me.

Oh, that pic is a gif, not a static image. Behold, the magic of the dial!

Tantalisingly, I can’t see the image, only a ‘404, url expired’ message. How can you tease us like this?

Huh, now I'm getting that too. I'll do it again and upload to imgur.

Thanks :). That’s pretty clever. What’s happening to make the image appear?

I’m guessing it’s a polarised disc attached to the seconds post?
    Cheers..

    That would make sense, thanks.

Yep, it's a rotating disc, the edge of it can be seen in the image.

Two quality time pieces, think the Hula Hoop should get a showing on the Friday thread.

I’ve had a clear out of old junk recently and that included a Unisys (my employer at the time) branded ana-digi Year 2000 countdown watch. Sadly for this thread, it went into the bin.

A Societe Generale clear perspex "Submariner".

I did have a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries "Panerai" as well but can't seem to find it.

    Cheers,
    Neil.

I feel slightly dirty by not hating that. In fact, I'd go so far as to say I quite like it.

    You're not alone.

My youngest son took a shine to it and wore it for a while, hence the scratches and filth on it!
    Cheers,
    Neil.
