Thread: Single pass nylon straps

    Single pass nylon straps

    Hi all,

I'm looking for a black, nylon single pass strap with pvd buckle. Sounds like it should be simple to find but I can't track one down anywhere! Anyone here got any ideas? I've searched the forum without success, and seen the other thread on NATOs but ideally I'm looking for just a single pass rather than a full nato.

    Cheers!

    hi

my preference is the three ring rather than the five ring nato and tend to use the bay for these

I've spent hours looking for straps with black buckles recently. Not sure exactly what you're after (I am guessing something like a Haveston but in plain black), but the nearest I've seen is https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001...archweb201603_

Buy regular nato strap and cut off unnecessary part.

A black perlon and then replace the buckle with a pvd one, which are available.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did think about cutting the other part from a regular nato, it might come to that. I just thought that what I'm looking for is so simple that it must exist somewhere!

This is what I'm after, but in black with pvd buckle and the same or fabric keepers. I think they're sometimes referred to as RAF NATOs.

Search for “3 ring Zulu strap” and you should find what you’re after.

Maybe a bit more expensive but another option is the Chevron range from crown and buckle - good quality straps, the night or obsidian options would suit if you were looking for a black strap and it's $3 extra day PVD hardware. Hope this helps.

    If you're after 20 mm, how about: link1 + link 2?

Try Cheapest NATO Straps. It's run by a Swedish lady.

One more suggestion? See the 'US MIL NATO PVD BLACK' at www.miros-time.de/durchzugs-bänder/us-mil-nato:

I'm also looking - what did you buy in the end?

I ended up getting a zuludiver g10 nato from watchgecko, so not what I originally was looking for! As a couple of people said, I can always cut the second piece off, and I've bought those NATOs before and like the quality, they're thin, and prefer the square pvd hardware over the rounded zulu rings.

I've long been an advocate for C&B Chevron straps, as on the GS here. They have adjustable buckles, and you can tailor the length of the strap to your wrist - no need for fold-over.

Absolutely agree with this, they’re amazing, so comfy, really nice quality and feels much more like a ‘proper’ strap than a nato - they’re brilliant

Those Chevron straps look interesting, I don't have particularly big wrists, so the adjustable length looks good. (It's why I like Perlons as well.)

Think I'll see how it goes on the full Nato before lopping anything off!
