    Garden furniture?

Does anyone have "kettler" garden furniture? What's it been like? Durable? We have seen a corner sofa/ dinning set bit am unsure how "good" it is.

The price of patio furniture is rediculus so am trying to make sure we buy somthing decent first time.

Have had a table and chair set for about 18 years. Always been outside. Worth the money.

Have had “ Sienna” range for at least12 yrs and gets left out in the winter power wash in the spring still going strong, well recommended.

I have gone a bit mad with Kettler, I have Kettle Palma corner set, Kettle fire pit table, some recliners and parasol.

I would not buy anything else.

Sorry to dive in on the thread... but how does this compare to the outdoor fabric sets, i.e. those which have reticulated foam with Sunbrella (or equivalent) fabric?

I’ve been looking at Maze branded outdoor fabric furniture, for example.

I would like to leave the cushions outside all year round, not just the seats.

I have a similar looking one, brand is Hartman.
They were not cheap either but not sure it was that dear. In any case it stays out in winter and has withstood the last 3 years impeccably.

Do you leave cushions out in winter as well?

I have a large cushion box (the older model, without the air pump lid assistance) that looks like this: https://www.hartmanuk.com/products/s...ump-Lid-Beech-

Cushions spend the winter there, and most nights (we're not OCD about it, but will put them in if we don't forget)

It's reasonably waterproof but I am weary of the many birds I feed

Leaving fabric outside all year will will most likely result in proper cleaning being required. There are some fantastic outdoor fabrics but water can penetrate seams and zips. The biggest issue is just dirt settling on the surface and potential mould that can occur in the glorious UK climate. I have owned a contract furniture business for the past 15 years and despite trying many products I would not recommend you leave the fabric out permanently.

Kettal are a good supplier, they are one of the few companies that own their own Chinese factory. Alexander Rose are ok too a mate just bought some of their stuff.

If a sunbrella fabric / reticulated foam combo starts looking a little ropey, my understanding is that you simply power wash the cushions and you’re good to go. If you were to do that on a sunny day, the cushions would also dry within an hour or so, ready to be sat on for the rest of the day.

Does that not reconcile with your experience?

No personal experience if that combo but theoretically that would be possible although jet washing may not be the best solution maybe soapy water and a brush. Jet washes can be very harsh.

Had a look at these and they look good. Seem more expensive than others but I guess you get what you pay for.

They don’t want business through their website, where do most people buy from? JL is the only stockist I’ve heard of on their list.

As above, left out all year. Power washed every spring. Cushions in matching box during winter / rain. Not a single issue after 6 years.

We managed to get the Kettler cover at the same time as the furniture. It is easy to use, very robust and a good fit, only slight problem is its very light in colour so shows all of the dirt which sits in the creases. We do bring the cushions inside during the winter.

No need for covers here, it's easy to wash if needed and withstands all weathers really well over the years.

What does everyone make of this? Unless there is a Kettler equivalent. Has a longer guarantee and I like the way the footstools are stored inside the lounge chairs and the chairs under the table, clever.

If anyone is thinking of buying from Moda Furniture then I really would strongly advise against it, shambolic setup. Bought 2 chairs and a table and to say they were knackered is a massive understatement, both chairs had been used, abused, broken and returned. They had then been boxed straight back up and shipped to me, customer service is none existant and I’m in a fight just to get my money back.
If the showroom was open they would be going back via the window. Bunch of thieving crooks.
Oh, and they delivered the wrong table

I've had a Kettler mesh table and chairs for over 20 years. For the first time yesterday, I used the touch up kit to sand/paint a couple of corners that had been knocked and were going rusty. Still looks great.

Looking for a new garden table and notice none of the Kettler tables fold down for storage.
Does anyone have a foldable garden table that is decent quality.
    Either metal or wood?

Kettler seems to have been very popular this year, many sets have sold out until 2021! Has anyone dealt with Garden Furniture World? Their Trustpilot rating isn't so good.

    Hi,
I'm not sure what you are looking for but I got the palma cornerset with adjustable SQ table from arcadia garden centre who are part of british garden centres.. only took 4 days to arrive.

They had a good range of the kettler stuff on display

I’ve a delivery for some Kettler furniture due from them this week so I’ll let you know. They seemed to have the best deals and availability when I ordered a few weeks back. John Lewis were out of stock of most things and were saying delivery 8 weeks from memory. Might be different now.

Super useful thread this - the wife wants garden furniture for her upcoming birthday and I didn't know these folk at all. Not cheap but looks very good. She's after a bench if anyone has any other suggestions to look at?

Furniture just arrived. Came on a large pallet which was easy to dismantle. Chairs already built and excellent quality, table we’ll make tomorrow as it’s raining. Have to say Garden Furniture World’s service has been excellent.

Thanks very much for taking the trouble to post this, very helpful of you.

I think I might be placing an order for some Kettler furniture myself.

Yet again TZ-UK costs me a load of money (I've bought a Kettler Palma six-chair set and a parasol).

    p.s. thanks!

Leekes seem to have a decent sale on at the moment and have some Kettler stuff.

You might even get John Lewis to price match as they have physical stores (Even retrospectively if you have recently ordered from them)

    https://www.leekes.co.uk/kettler-pal...-set-whitewash

Not used them before so do your own research etc..

John Lewis declined to price match as they only carry the Rattan colour rather than whitewash!

Got that on our small patio. More of a two people for coffee and snacks type of size.

Was it the Whitewash you were after?

Whitewash equivalent is OOS on John Lewis:

    https://www.johnlewis.com/kettler-pa...attan/p1133839

Would prefer the Rattan but not for £500 more!

Well we had our Kettler Palma swapped out for the bigger one.
With the parasol and a further 2 Kettler reclining chairs are the bottom of the garden we are al Kettler out.

Lucky it is a staycation this year.

Try Oaktree garden centre. They are in Berkshire and will deliver, they did for my in-laws in Devin for free last year.

We never buy from companies who don’t have their address on the website, something very dodgy about that
