    Quartet of Classic Divers

Well, my interpretation of them and at a fraction of the cost.

For the first time in a few years I’m finding the daily choice difficult! Fortunately I’m working from home so I can wear all of them every day

I was going to ask the same! Looks exactly like a marinemaster 300 Tuna until I clocked the longer logo!

It’s a Steeldive Marinemaster 300m. It’s an absolute cracker of a Tuna-alike. Mine came with a bracelet and I added the Steveo Para Strap. I honestly can’t fault the watch; NH35 movement, tremendous screw-down crown and everything lines up and works perfectly.

What's the panarai look-alike? Is that a diver as well?

The PAM-alike is a bit of an enigma. I don't know its origin but it runs a very accurate Unitas close, probably a Seagull, and the quality is exceptional.

I have a Steeldive SD1975 too. Cracking quality, ludicrously good for literal pennies.

    Nice collection.

Quite fancy trying the turtle - how is the bracelet quality?

OP you may have or soon will have a watch box full of watches worth a whole Rolex or Omega etc.

I’d choose the Rolex, but nice collection and each to their own.

It would be some size watch box😁

Those Steeldive watches look excellent for the price, nice collection.

Well that would be a joyless result for a watch collector.

Not everyone wants a Rolex and all that goes along with it. Nice collection OP

Thanks. I’ve owned three Omega; 2254 for ten years, Bond Blue Seamastet and a Speedmaster reduced. All very nice watches.

At some point I will buy a Rolex OP but strangely, being a lover of dive watches, not a Sub. I do enjoy having a bit of choice which having one expensive piece doesn’t enable. You’re absolutely right though, each to their own.

How heavy is the Steeldive? I've always been worried about getting a Tuna style watch in stainless.

I wouldn't wear on the bracelet, and id be worried about top-heaviness and wobble.

It’s around 200g, but the Tuna is quite a low profile piece which hugs the wrist and its hidden lugs mean that the strap/bracelet keeps it close and flat. There isn’t much wobble or top heavy topple. It’ll wear surprisingly well even on a smaller wrist.

The weight of the bracelet balances it out even more, and the case shape is quite smooth too.

The Steeldive SD1975 is the perfect ‘try out’ piece if you’re considering a Tuna as it’s near-identical to the original. Only £179 from a couple of sellers on eBay.

Seems to be a few here who have been pleased with their Steeldive watches. I have been contemplating their MM300-a-like for some time and today the temptation got the better of me. UK sourced so I shouldn’t have to wait long. Has anyone else here had this model from their range?
