    New member - Hello!

    Hi all,

    Great to write up my first post (please do move if in the wrong place)

    I have been a long time lurker on this forum and am thought it was finally time to write my first post; particularly given these challenging time, where my passion for watches has definitely helped!

    A bit about me - I am a doctor in NHS, based in London. Have always been interested in watches largely from my grandpa who owned a small collection over the years.

    My first watch was a Longines Conquest (pics to follow) and my current is a Breitling Aerospace

    Looking to slowly add to the collection and have found myself browsing more and more recently. Thinking the next one to be a vintage Datejust - probably as a small treat after the past few months

    Anyway great to meet everyone and just wanted to say hello!

    Very excited for the Datejust purchase, will be a fairly modest budget of ~£3k (I hope), and ideally a mixed one!

    Welcome to the forums Doc. I loved my aerospace, probably the easiest watch to wear. Less so the digital elements of it, I never completely mastered its interface!! Stay safe!

    Welcome, haven’t been here long myself after being a fellow long time lurker. I’d say working in the NHS over the past few weeks you have more reason than most to treat yourself to a new watch.

    I definitely struggled with this too! Think it’s taken me a good few years to get the hang of all the crown options! Love the watch though

    Ha! Good deal on the perseverance. I sold mine and instantly regretted doing so. Hold onto it, and enjoy the forums. I guarantee you are about to own more watches than you ‘need’ to!
