I wonder if that's the seller's own name, address and mobile number that's now on the web?
I didn’t think that Rolex would do this ?

I don't think Rolex would fit that bezel insert to that watch.
On this thread it looks like it’s not possible to put an LV bezel on a LN watch at RSC.

I wonder what it will go for, i really like lv’s Rolex’s cannot afford one, not sure I would be happy with this

Looks crap anyway. The maxi dial made the Kermit, along with the green bezel insert.
And for as long as I have been around, I’ve understood that Rolex will not put an LV bezel into a non LV.
Although it does state “Rolex approved service centre” not Rolex as in St.James, and they may be flexible - has the owner bought a genuine insert somewhere somehow and asked it to be fitted?
I know (from experience) that some approved service centres will do work that Rolex St.James will not

I am sure I have seen the insert swapped out on these to give two different looks on this forum?
Is it me or the bezel looks a bit off centered?
Rolex definitely don’t put an LV bezel on a non LV watch, I asked them about a year ago
He also had a Rolex GMT pepsi 2001 for sale. which didnt sell
The Pepsi did for £6.2k. The almost Kermit went off early so I assume a deal outside of eBay

Not a fan of this at all to be honest, trying a bit too hard to be a Kermit, whilst the black sub is perfectly good watch in its own right. It wouldn’t pass muster for most people who knows watches also given it doesn’t have maxi markers which is significant part of the look for Kermit. In the end, the wearer just looks a bit desperate for Kermit, some may even think it’s just an outright fake, I would if I saw one in the wild! Each to their own I guess.

If ever I'll own it I wouldn't have come to grips that what I'm wearing is just a somewhat frankenwatch.
That seems very odd. I also live in Wakey and Prestons refused to do the same mod to my LV back in the day. Call me a monster but I thought a black bezeled maxi dial 5 digit sub would have looked perfect to me (I tired of the green bezel eventually and sold it on).
Today the LV insert is way more expensive than tha black one, from the start it was the same price.
Today Rolex want the old LV bezel back too and only sell it to the correct reference
Rolex doesn’t do custom jobs and any changes to the original watch voids the insurance - sounds like on this occasion the person did a custom job
Thanks

Voids the insurance - you mean if I’d insured a 16610LV on my home insurance, swapped the bezel and got it nicked I’d not be paid out? Seems well dodgy to me. I can understand (although don’t agree with) the argument that I’d void my Rolex warranty, but surely if I were robbed I should be getting back 12K from the insurance company regardless of bezel colour I would have thought.
No way would an official service centre fit an incorrect insert.

To WIS, yes, pehaps they're big things, but I still think that it is purely the WIS who'd even really notice such things. It's like when people say that the cyclops is a defining thing about subs, yet in reality, I imagine that 99.9% don't know what a sub is or looks like. They just know of the Brand Rolex and what it represents. I doubt the majority of rolex buyers have any notion as to the 5/6 digit case debate, they're just buying a rolex. I wouldn't probably not spot the differennce between those two unless you pointed it out.
Related but unrelated, I was recently watching a binging with babish video where he claims to love watches, and was talking about one of his many rolex and stated "it's a classic watch, it's pretty much the thing you picture when you close your eyes and picture a submariner". He's holding a seadweller. Made me chuckle.

Still a nice looking watch
My favourite Sub, wish I bought one back when I was considering before prices went stupid.
Maxi dial is what sets it off for me, just a green bezel isn't enough.
