    Phone suggestions please

Hello i'm after a second mobile phone for seperate use to my normal Iphone XS Max...Budget is up to £150 and will be on a pay as you go sim...think of it as you will as a drug dealers burner type job (I am joking)...As a dyed in the wall Apple user i know i'm not gonna get an Iphone so will have to make do with some kind of Android device,it needs to have a half decent camera and be able to Whatsapp, and a decent size screen for my failing eyesight to be able to read messages,,other than that be able to be used by a bit of an idiot..i'm currently using a Nokia smartphone for work on divert that is possibly the worse phone i've ever had the misfortune to use so don't suggest one of those...
Other than that i await your suggestions from your experience, thanks.

I would go for a s/h Motorola like a G6plus. Great phone and the camera is excellent.

Have you considered using the dual sim capability of the XS?

I use my 11 pro for personal and work and it works really well. You can switch off a line easily.

I confess i didn't know you could do that, however for what i want to do with it i think a separate phone would make more sense..Thanks anyway.

I've got an 8 and it is linked to my old 6s. Separate numbers but shared email and cloud.

What about a second hand phone? There are plenty under £150:

Can someone explain to an idiot like me how this works please? I have an iPhone XS Max for personal use and a SE for work. Could I use the XS for both?

Sorry if this is a remedial level question.

Yes although only one physical sim (the second has to be an esim). For example, I have a personal EE contract for which I have an esim. I have a work line that is a physical sim card.

You can select contacts and set default lines - so I have a long contacts list with most assigned to my 'personal' line and work contacts I prefix with 'work' and assign to 'business' line.

Another vote for the Motorola Moto line.

I also recently bought a Samsung Galaxy A20e which seems perfely capable. Camera isn't top of the range but it is fine.

Pixel 2 XL will be the best Android experience you get. Amazing camera, good size screen, fast charge and good battery life. I only swapped to a OnePlus for dual SIM.

If you're interested I have a refurb 128gb white/panda model direct from Google still with the screen stickers on and judging on your profile I might be near to you.

    Look into Galaxy A series.

If you are using an XS, I’d consider something like a nice used iPhone 7.
It's just a matter of time...

What about a refurb iPhone? Or a used one .
The original SE, a 6 or 6S or with some searching a 7 can be had within budget from somewhere like music magpie.
That way it uses the same charger which is a bonus.
