I thought the takeoff was amazing and my wife and I went into the garden to watch it fly over the UK...

After a while we realised we had found a recording of one of the Falcon rockets

Well that must have been some disappointment for the two guys, having sat there all that time! With the re-scheduled lift off time I don't suppose we'll have a chance to see it going over.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. They deserve credit for wearing these DIY suits. In one pic they look like they're wearing wellies. Compo in space... Or two blokes from down the pub doing a home movie.

    Nevertheless, I wish them well.

They did look very Blake’s 7, they could have sprayed the wellies silver for maximum effect.

At long last the future is living up to my 1960's aspirations.

If Musk could fabricate an awkward angular looking robot made of perspex with loads of wires and flashing lights inside to accompany them then that would be perfect.

    Fireball XL5 style.

Have you seen the Tesla Cybertruck? :-)

I believe/suspect that this vehicle, as well as being for sale on Earth in due course, may well be a prototype for a Mars vehicle.

Don't hold your breath...the weather is iffy once again (link):

A slight chance of showers through late morning, then a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms early in the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms becoming likely in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 80s. South winds 10 to 15 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon. Chance of rain 70 percent.

With a launch time of 15h22 local it's time to cross everything.

If they have to scrub today, they can try again tomorrow at 15h00 EDT (20h00 BST 21h00 CEST) but the weather forecast is not dissimilar.

So if it goes ahead today what time is that BST and I’m assuming on the same path over the UK?

Pretty sure it's 8.22pm if this converter is correct.

    Link:

Some 23 minutes after launch, the Crew Dragon will pass over Europe, along this trajectory (times are in UT: add one hour to get BST and 2 hours to get CEST):

One way to install confidence in your astronauts, test a space X rocket before launch day....

Said astronauts are also not idiots though - it's got basically nothing in common with what they're flying in!

I know. It would still make me think...hmmm. when the company that's strapping 10ton of liquid oxygen to may back side explodes a rocket the day before. then again that's probably why I'm not an astronaut.

Awesome! Purple and blue sparkly dinosaur too LOL gotta love their antics.

Is it just me or are they wearing Dobbies wellies?

That was fantastic, though disappointing that the feed cut out for the falcon landing on the drone ship. Good luck to Doug and Bob.

Has anyone got a link for a live tracker. Might we get to see it on its second orbit of the earth?

Great to watch btw, we had our 5 year old watching. I was so nervous hoping everything went ok. Luckily it did.

Not everything Elon Musk does is commendable but you have to admire what he and his team have achieved at SpaceX, not only launching humans in to space but reusable rockets too. Best wishes for the rest of Doug and Bob's journey.

Couldn’t see anything because the sky was so bright but apparently we should have a better chance of seeing it on it’s second pass at around 10:15pm

He understands, I have explained the difference of straight lugs, 321 movement, applied logo, small pushers and 24 point crown, why he fell asleep I don’t know??

Thanks. The projected line seems quite low. I don’t think we’re going to see anything, especially up North.

Question - would the Dragon have been brighter than the ISS? I was following on the satflare link posted above, though I saw the ISS at about the right predicted time but couldn’t see anything tailing it. I assumed it was the ISS as I thought the sun reflecting on its solar panels would make it incredibly bright?
