    Month-old Everest on the Bay

Eddie's become like a UK Porsche dealer! It's so hard to buy a new one if you do manage to get an order in you can flip it for a profit without driving it.

............... and the seller wants £7.99 postage. I think I'd rather take my chances and get a proper 'brand new' one when the Timfactors shop opens.
I know they are a sought after watch but they are still available to buy new. Sadly, once you've driven your new car out of the show room it's 'pre owned'.

Entirely. Just suggesting there's no way on God's Earth a six month old watch could be sold for retail (or not, or more, we'll see, it's started £5 under RRP + postage) if you could actually buy a new one. No criticism of Eddie, who's rushed off his feet because he sells lovely things, but how many buyers for those in the last two or three months have done all the research, made the decision, hit the website and discovered they can't get one. That's the Porsche connection. A new GT3 is better than a used GT3, but if you can't get a new GT3 however much money you have, the price of almost new ones rockets.

I should add that the key difference between Eddie and PCGB's retail network is they manufacture this scarcity deliberately and then exploit it shamelessly for profit, whereas Eddie is just buried under half a metric tonne of packing stuff and may not have seen his carpet since March. :-)

This watch is the Everest Expedition which is actually still in stock, as the thread title reads Everest which won't be in stock until at least August and with that alone the price would soar for sure. This example says that it is New with tags but looks as though the seller has removed the caseback seal and the seal that is on the glass and all the wrap from the bracelet which in y opinion would be New without tags.

If it were me I would be at the laptop on the 31st at 1400.

I will be. Have set three phone alarms. Been trying to buy the same strap since March!

I don't have any idea. Really is that hard enough to buy anything on this site?

You just have to be on time. Which seems to be hard for some.

    Edit:
Oh, and keep your fingers crossed that the site doesn't hiccup because 500 people are trying to buy stuff at the same time ;)

Is it new when you have removed 4 links and adjusted the bracelet?

At the moment - Eddie is pretty snowed under.
I believe buying an Aerotimer is going to be one of the Ten Tasks of Hercules in the new Warner Bros remake.

    Top tip

If you want one of these watches.
    Get yourself organised.

Have your payment details to hand.
Get the watch in your basket at one second past 2.00.

Then complete the sale ASAP. Don’t ‘dilly dally’ looking at straps or other things.
If you want to buy two different watches. Perhaps get your partner to buy that at the same time.

    On eBay

Not sure if anyone is looking for an Expedition -

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Smiths-PR...53.m1438.l2649

BTW - I've no connection to the seller.
