Count me in on another reissue of the wonderful 300 seamaster, i would love it with a tad-thinner case than the prs-14 older variant!
(a smaller watch overall would do even better, us with small wrists crave those, nevertheless i know the dimensions of the 14 was pretty faithful to the original, so no biggie:P)

I'm not a big fan of the "Precista" font face, even if is period correct. And a watch is never thin enough.

    Agreed on both!

It would have to have acrylic though, right?

Anyone know where I can get a new crown fitted for mine?

I’d like to know too. I sent mine to a renowned watchmaker for a crown and stem replacement here in the US and he made an absolute dog’s dinner of it.

I've never used him previously but I'm about to send a vintage Tissot into this chap https://www.margoliswatch.co.uk

He posts on Facebook and its pretty amazing as he frequently manufactures the smallest of parts.

I had previously sent the watch into Tissot - who said that as it was over 10 years old and 'obsolete' they would supply a new watch and retain mine. They seemed to rather miss the whole idea of owning a vintage 🙄

Anyway, it will be interesting to see how he gets on - but if he's half as good as what it appears from his Facebook Page I'm sure he'll do an excellent job.

Very interesting review and thread. Fwiw my tuppence would be for a re release but with wider sword hands and Smiths branding which keeps the 'originals' seperate and personally was never that fond of the flowery Precista script. Otherwise fabulous and crack on Eddie.

You could ask Brendan. He services my watches and I've seen his name of the forum many times.

You post them to him and he posts them back....simples.

There wouldn't be anything out there to rival an upgraded 14 at Eddie's price point, or even double it. My tuppenth's worth:

    - Case dimensions are spot on

    - Needs a sapphire, preferable domed or boxed

    - Better crown

    - Thicker hour and minute hands

    - The Precista brand would be fine with me, although maybe a more block font, like the Omega. I'd oppose a switch to the Smiths brand.

    - The option of a bracelet would be amazing

I'd even brave the Sunday two minute scrum for one of those ;)

    Found a black PRS-14

    Hi,

believe it or not, I found a PRS-14 in black that I bought and forgot. As far as I remember, only a few have been made in black.
It looks like new, just collected dust....shame on me, but at least it is still as nice as it was when I got it.

Will go to the sales corner soon.......but first I need to clean off the dust :-)

    Best regards

.......just decided to keep it. Less than 10 have been made in this finish, so it is something special. I really like the watches Eddie does, but it's difficult to get them now.

    Best regards
