    Aquadive - forum wisdom...

Have never been able to shake a nagging desire for one of these since the company came back to life; and the new Bathyscaphe 100s really float my boat (see what I did there?)...but I don't know anyone who's owned one. Any experience / thoughts / advice from wiser heads?

You're in Wantage? Small world. There's another forum member in these parts I believe.

In one of the villages out in the hills. Come in to town about twice a year for a hundred pounds of yeast and some copper line, Steve Earle style :-)

One of my friends is a very long-standing forum member, and indeed watch-writer, which is how I was introduced to the place way back.

I seem to recall you saying that before,

I'm also interested (still) in the Aquadive, it was Page & Cooper that put me off.

I seriously considered them. It was the GMT version I wanted. The Poseidon model seemed to fit the bill. Newer slimmer case.

But it is the ETA GMT mov't which annoys me as it really isn't one. I my opinion a proper GMT the 24hr hand remains on GMT and the hour had jumps to local time ( doesn't work for Venezuela as they are on the 1/2 hour).
As someone else said/explained recently on the forum they are really only really good for tracking time zones for making phone calls etc.

I have had the yellow GMT version. Nice reliable watch, no problems with the crown for me. Can be a bit 'massive' on a smaller wrist. (<7 inch)

That's lovely. Not usually one for very bright colours but those seem to somehow be able to carry it off.

I have three, all used, one 3,000M and two 1,000M in yellow and blue.

Love their chunky case and bezel designs and I also find the crown not too big but too long.

However, the dial of their recent LE model with Poseidon, in particular their brand logo, is rather poorly executed as shown in the video

Lovely. If you ever think about moving the blue/turquoise one on do let me know. Probably won;t be able to afford it but would love first shout. PS: Am wearing a Seiko PADI like that as I type.

Yes when a yellow or orange GMT pops up on SC I'll be taking a very close look.

    That turquoise is saucy!

    My favourite colour.

I like the matching coloured strap they do.
    Cheers,

Yup the turquoise is great colour. Couple of years ago someone sold one with a red 24hr hand, really looked the biz.
I think you used to be able to spec them that way.
