SOTC - call the Forum Police!

My wife says that I am untidy.....

The terminally bored may like to spend a while trying to identify some of these. There are rarities, but not much valuablities.

Always heartening to see someone living in more chaos than I am!

Not a clue what any of those are....

Wow. You really need a watch box...

    Unc,
I'm looking at your photo on an iPhone 5, at a wild guess there's a Damasko in there but otherwise I haven't a scooby!

Pic is really low res. I see a Pepsi bezel (Seiko) and to the left a watch with a blue sticker on the crystal??

Also a Microsoft keyboard? And some watch boxes, more watches in there?

They're also too close to electronics for my liking.

I didn't think I looked after my watches particularly well until I saw this.

I see that too. And a Seiko pepsi diver of some description, along with a vintage Omega on a light brown strap and maybe a Wakmann chronograph.

Terrible way to treat your watches IMO. They are your watches so good luck to you.

Some top spotting going on here.

I have been a tad disingenuous; this was an emergency watch drawer sort-out. I will see if I can take a higher-res, more-in-focus shot before I return them to their lair.

Well I can make out the CWC '70's chrono remake, and a Bulova Moonwatch or what ever they call them now. Looks like a Breitling 70's Chronomat near the top there?

To think I bought my last watch from you!

I suppose it could be worse, you could have found it in an old car.

Looks like an A-13A in there too

Here you go guys - hopefully a link to a better image.

Good spot with the vintage Omega - possibly a re-cased 1917 pocket watch movement.

Edited to say : hmm, not much better. I think I'll give up and put them away now.

Only one I can guess at is a vintage Breitling chrono of some sort over to the right

Top spot DANH. It's a twinjet Navitimer; is it a 0816? Reputedly a giant-size Navitimer for airline pilots with poor eyesight.

Is there a Glycine Combat 6 Classic buried in the first pic?

And is that a GWS chrono right-centre in the second one? Love mine - gorgeous little thing!

  22. #22
I can see a Speedmaster, Bulova moon watch, Seiko at the bottom. Is that a Newmark on the left on a black strap with rivets? There's a Fortis...
What a mess of a collection. Some nice watches though :-)

I thik you ay be referring to the PRS-37 Seafire; mine has a modded bead-blasted case as opposed to the usual pvd.

Spot-on with the GWS chrono - a little cracker for the money.

Not Newmark; CWC, though with my powers of photography you did well recognising that it was a chrono!

All tidied away now. Calm has returned.

All I can identify with 100% certainty is a Timefactors Aviator strap, but maybe I had an unfair advantage.

Yeah, many thanks for that TomGW. Doesn't it suit the watch!

What’s the panda dial scratching bezels with the speedmaster? I can bear to look at that photo any longer...

That's the 0816 navitimer I mentioned earlier, Matt.
    It's a "Giant Panda" - 46mmish exc. crowns. And it's a "cuegle" panda - 3 sub dials.

I'm glad you asked. I have just spotted some potentially interesting caseback engraving. I may dig out the light tent and try to capture it for further comment.

I can make out " DDE .BR + 11525/67"; also "1347755" ; but there is a hatched-out rectangle that may warrant further esploration. Trouble is, it's all a bit worn. The watch itself is delightfully wabi'd, which is what attracted me to it when I bought it from SC.

Thanks unc, would be too big for me unfortunately. I meant can’t btw, 2 watches rubbing bezels is painful to look at!

I know what you mean, but it was only for a brief period, and they are now all at least 2 metres apart.

Light blue touch paper and stand well back

The explanation of a watch drawer tidy makes it look a lot less dramatic than first sight!

Then again some people are extremely sensitive to any marks at all on a watch, so I can imagine it sets some OCD into overdrive!
