Fun challenge - most interesting watch you can find for sale for less than fifty quid

Inspired by a post elsewhere, and just for fun (although you never know, you might find something you like!).

Must be no more than fifty quid, or very close to. Can be brand new or old. Quality at this price point isn't really an issue.

I'll kick off with this one:

So clever my foot fell off.

    Good thread.

I purchased the one on the left a couple of years ago for the princely sum of £25 off eBay. Rather battered, but working. The dial is shot (Radium?) and although signed, is completely illegible.

However what makes it interesting is that it uses exactly the same movement as the one right. The ubiquitous AS 1361N.

I will give you fifty quid for the one on the right. No, don't argue, I insist.

This is the last thing I need... looking at cheap watches on eBay. At least it's not a Saturday night when I've had a pint or four.

I bought this lovely little military-style Avia for a tenner about 6 weeks ago.

The fact that it wasn't working and is going to cost me substantially more to get going doesn't help, but I love these vey elegantly practical little vintage pieces.

    Well, I've gone £9.99 over:

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/392807389213

but it's a decent sized all stainless mid sixties Tissot 41505/42505 with the excellent Cal.781 and really nice 'accutron' dauphine hands.

It looks like a new crystal and a quick service is in order, but I'd argue that it's a watch that can go toe to toe with pretty well any other slow beat hand winder of the period. You'd be paying a damned sight more for the equivalent Cal.601 Omega.

I’m not sure some people have interpreted interesting correctly .....

Anyhow,my effort after laboriously trawling through the internet for hours. Or possibly a couple of minutes at best.
    All yours for £16
It also apparently doesn’t actually tell the time any more either so that makes it even more interesting. Or shite.

Ok I’ll play. It’s £2.97 over the £50 but it accepts offers so £50 doable. I’ve read the description and frankly I’m none the wiser - certainly interesting though!!

When the title reads “watch of a photographic machine gun that recorded air attacks USSR” you know it’ll be a head scratcher

It allows the gun camera to record exactly when the guns are fired and for how long. I've got a dennison case for a Smiths one that I've been hoping to fill for about a decade.

Must resist looking, half my collections has come though the "I can't let that go for under £50" route. I then get carried away and usually end paying much more than that

    Interesting - thanks for that
