New Lockdown Low Achieved - Sink or Skim BBC

I have managed to achieve a low point milestone this evening, never could I have ever believed that my lockdown journey would result in being so bored I could watch a programme about professional stone skimmers.

Have the BBC run out of stuff to put on prime time telly.

To be fair 88 bounces or a new world record of 121meters of skimming is pretty impressive

These guys do it for a living

What’s next on TV, counting individual blades of grass before a dog takes a dump on you 1sqm patch of land?

    Who knows, can’t wait

Is it still at Easdale, did 1 or 2 dives there years ago, watching paint dry would have been more entertaining.

And they still send me full tv licence bill. But really I have so many other worries right now that I don't care less about TV

Inner city sumo, how would that work? Office types in a nappy throwing salt over the shoulder and slapping each other in a camp fashion?

I think it’s a winner and I for one would request the BBC commission it

It’s a series of programme ideas from Allen Partridge when the BBC didn’t sanction a second series, very funny sketch. Tho other options as I recall were “ cooking in prison with Chaz and Dave and “knowing M.E, knowing you”

It was 'Arm wrestling with Chaz and Dave'
My favourite 'Youth hostelling with Chris Eubank'

for those of you fortunate enough to miss Sink or Skim, want to have the realisation your own life isn't as dull you might have thought, want to develop your skimming technique and take it up as a full time occupation or simply want the delight in knowing that actually your own friends aren't all that odd after all, its now on the BBC iplayer

On Bruiser (around 1999/2001, an early Webb and Mitchell series) they used to have 'Celebrity Outdoor Wee'. Maybe that's something for the BBC to consider. A load of C-list celebrities defecating in public.

Actually that's probably been done before

    “It’s just skimming, man”

Thanks for the link! That’s exactly the reason I love the BBC and the unique way it’s funded!
