That is truly a gorgeous watch.
Picked this up a couple of weeks ago and I'm really gelling with it.
It was a replacement for my 5513 that for financial reasons I had to sell.
To be honest I've managed to pick this up and a lovely late 60s 14k perpetual date 1503 and still had funds left over to help me through the lockdown.
These watches wear so nice and I love the black indices around the subtle creaming tritium.
I never thought I'd need a GMT hand but when you have family living in the states it actually is quite useful, they are quite thankful I'm not ringing them at 4am anymore lol.
I'm a big fan of the hollow end pieces as they are sleeker I'm not a fan of the raised middle of the solid end pieces.
For a 1996 watch this is mint and the previous owner had it serviced by Rolex in January and there is no apparent over polishing it's really crisp so very well looked after.
I really wanted tritium dial as I love the colour they can go to I just hope mine does this over time.
The one other thing I like about these watches is they do like a strap, so far I've tried a blue shark but I'm looking out for other straps to switch it up every now and then.
Anymore 16570 owners out there?
post your pics especially on different straps

That is truly a gorgeous watch.
I had mine on a very nice Leather strap (from Everest with SELs) for about a year but I drifted back onto the bracelet again...
None on different straps I’m afraid, but:
It's a good watch - nice pics, colin t.
Here's mine.
Glad you like it OP, here’s mine:
Nice eye candy so far !
I think the 16570 with the female end links is probably the best Rolex sports watch for anyone with a smaller wrist ... i.e. me LOL.
Seen one of these with the cyclops removed and the want factor goes to 11!
A nice two-watch collection?
16570 can also take a Nato

Really like this watch on a grey NATO. I am still looking for an unpolished example.
Didn’t we only just do this last month?

I remember looking at these in the local ADs window many years ago. Even tried one on. Could not fathom how someone could pay that sort of money for a watch. IIRC it was 1800 stg, and I took home around 450 pm at that time.
I eventually scratched the itch with the 42mm model in 2013 but still have a hankering for the 40mm edition.

I have my watch on rubber tropic strap. It took a while to find one I like, mostly because of I wasn’t prepared to pay isofrane prices.
Some beautiful polars and some great strap ideas thanks for giving me food for thought.
My tritium is totally spent now I always fancied tritium because I love the way they cream and patina, I have to say I kind of regret going this way when I see them glowing with the more modern luminova.

tried a blue shark skin not sure about the blue but like the shark skin.
I’m red green colour blind so I do struggle pairing colours but sometimes it can lead to some interesting results lol

Here you go. I have a couple of their Natos and the quality belies the price.

Another source here, not sure if the shades are different on the sand/beige

I've got one on my Bund at the moment, but can't find where I got it from!
Thank you learningtofly, magirus and ed335d, I'll be placing an order to fit my freshly serviced expl.

Photo of mine still in its box from the day I bought it home.
The white exp 2’s have always offered a very different look to the norm in the Rolex catalogue.
I once had a minter luminova Swiss only dialled one....then had the real life vs photos experience mentioned above.
Then I saw this on Watchfinder and wasn’t so sure in the photos...and had the complete opposite experience in real life. For me the warmth of the tritium kind of balances out the stark white/black/white/black theme...as does the naked bezel. I do have a minty nos bezel which I fully intended to fit but have decided I prefer this one.
