My best guess would be 200 + owned over the years, and now with 20 watches in my collection. And as things are I think it should be rather lower tbh.
OP that’s an impressive amount of watches! Random question did you keep them around the house in watch boxes or did you put some away in a safe deposit box?
Can just imagine a special room full of watches hanging off the wall
Thanks
S

My bought and sold total is 131 and I’ve got 29.
Shocked myself somewhat adding up the total spend - £254,000
Mostly since being a member here.
Dangerous place.

Odd post. The thread is about the total number of watches that have passed through members hands - so in my case that’s 58 bought, 38 of which I subsequently moved on leaving 20 in my current collection. The most I’ve ever owned at one time was 23.
In the grand scheme of things that’s an awful lot less than many others who have replied.
As to where I keep my watches...that’s not something I choose to discuss.

How true that sounds!

Since joining the forum in July 2011, a total of 42 (soon to be 43) have passed through my hands. I currently have 9 (soon to be 10) in the collection. At the moment, I've entered the third week of a wait for a watch that left Henderson Nevada on April 30 - the extra delay thanks to COVID (no doubt) is starting to take the shine off.....
There has been a small net gain on the watches I've sold, although it would be a loss without the 5712 I made a few quid on.
Maybe not right now, but several of the watches I have would in normal times, be worth quite a bit more than I paid (Autavia's / Red Sub, BLNR etc.)
Certainly is. Never added it up before.

I joined in 2007 and since then I bought 114 watches. 24 were stolen a couple of years ago and I never sold one (I'm a keeper, that's my problem). Of those 90 remaining, 31 are CWC and Pulsar G10 and there is also a bunch of Russian watches bought when they were still cheap. Quite some Timefactors ones also in the collection, I should take a picture of those one day

I'm new to the forum..
However i've had 110 watches over the last 3 years alone! Incredibly I've made a decent profit of them to (+4k), but its an addictive hobby
Around 50 ish? but currently down to 12 still too many!
I roll in at a lowly 20 over time and 5 in current collection.... but will use this thread to show the other half that what she thinks is madness is actually very reasonable ;)
Quick mental tot up shows that I have owned 12 Panerais, 8 remaining, 11 Rolex, 5 remaining, 3 Tudor, I remains, 2 TAG and Cartier, 1 of each remaining, 1 Blancpain, Longines, Ingersoll, G Shock, Nike Triax watch all of which I still own. 1 Sector, Swatch, Scuba Swatch ( actually LOVED that one ) all long gone.
So that totals 38 owned, with 21 remaining. Very modest when compared to most others here, but the majority of the madness was facilitated and rationalized by my TZ membership over the past 3 years.
I hesitate to think of the cost over the years, chances are it would purchase a reasonable 3 bed semi local to me.

I've been here since 2005, currently running at 12 watches, plus another 5 that I've bought for my wife that she still has (all Gs or Baby-G apart from a Lady Speedbird). One G-Shock bought for my daughter and another 3 watches bought and given as gifts. That doesn't sound too bad! However, the other 148 that have passed through my hands in that period, that's the problem...
Mind you, I don't operate in Rolex territory, so the total cost is not as scary. I do track what I've spent (and what I got back when selling), and I've lost about 10% on what I spend on the ones that passed through my hands.

One more than ten minutes ago - bought a PRS-45 Aerotimer from another member. So including stuff I've had since a kid and a few G-Shocks, 17. And the Pancor 03 is inbound, and I'm leading the bidding on a tuning fork.
Christ - lockdown is going to kill me,
I’ve just listed many on certain auction site.
I’m left with five Rolex, a Tudor and Breitling
