Archer rubber "burn"

I have an Archer rubber strap in Orange on my baby Dreadnought which I usually only wear occasionally, but I wore it constantly whilst at Le Mans for 6 days so it didn't get lost.

Yesterday I noticed what both I and Mrs B think looks very much like a burn which exactly corresponds to the positioning of the strap - neither the watch back or the buckle location have the same redness/minor blistering.

Has anyone heard or such a thing being caused by whatever rubber these are made of?

I should have researched this before posting on here.

It is a known thing that prolonged wear of a silicone watch strap can cause irritation/burns and its not just after market straps but Apple/Garmin users have also reported suffering from this.

I've never fitted the original bracelet but it seems for extended wear such as camping at LM for 6 days if I really want to wear my baby Dreadnought I'll have to put it on the bracelet.

I am away from UK until July so its lucky I also brought my Anniversary Everest with me, which is on its Jubilee bracelet.

I've never got-on with silicone straps, always irritate by the end of the day. By contrast, I'm basically living in FKM / fluoro-rubber straps at the mo as they are easy to wash daily, and am getting no irritation from them at-all.
