Pancor 03 - what do folk think?

I'm awaiting this, which is my first ever Kickstarter watch. Paid 249 Euros last November for the dark grey PVD case/ black dial version. Latest update, after lots of C-19 delays, suggests it will be here in the next few weeks.
I was nervous about Kickstarter but the W&W review was solid, and a bit of research suggested this guy (Marc, a Dutchman) had always delivered on his Kickstarters.
Given the spec - 39mm, sapphire crystal, 300m depth, screw down crown and a Seiko NH38 auto inside, combined with a (to me) beautiful semi-retro design, it felt like 249 Euros made for a great beater.
I've pasted the W&W link below the pics, but what do you guys think?

They have obviously been inspired by a few existing designs, the case and bezel have a hint of Fifty Fathoms and the dial is all SKX007/009 and it does work as a design in my eyes
At that price it is worth a punt if you like it.

Yeah, I thought so too. It's a kind of really nice sum of other things. The green seems to be the one folk love but the cream on black of that dial really appealed to me.

Good looking watch and a wearable dimension, these are €339 on the website now so it looks like you got a great deal.

Not sure if it’s the round lume indices or the hand set but my brain instantly said “oris65” upon my first glance at the pics. Looks a nice watch.

When will it be here? It looks good in my opinion, I've seen a few on Kickstarter that I like, but I'm just not sure about buying on a promise.

Let us know when it gets here.

Will do. I felt the same as you. Most expensive thing I'd bought on kickstarter previously was a $30 bosun's knife, so this was a bit of a gamble (still is until it gets here I guess) but Marc's comms have been regular and excellent. First delay was because he was unhappy with the quality of the crown, so he rejected the prototypes, then Covid hit. When it arrives I'll "unbox" it. Very much hope it's as good as it looks!

Hopefully. Proof will be in the pudding when (hopefully not "if") it arrives. :-)

Just realised there's an entire Incoming/New Arrival thread where this should have gone. Apologies...after four years of lurking you'd think I'd know better.

You're absolutely right, but somehow I like that despite it. I think it's the faux painted-on blob lume thing that makes that work for me.

Kickstarter update #14 from marc at Pancor this morning. Production has finished, he's expecting nine boxes of watches Weds or Thurs this week and dispatch via DHL starts as soon as they get here, so all being well I'll be able get some pics of the final thing up before too long.

Another nice review of the (prototype) 03 here. Hoping to see mine in the next few days, depending on where I am in the postage list...

Me too! Always a nagging doubt over a kickstarter but fingers crossed.
