    Not being an accountant but the statement of accounts looks like he “forgot” to pay VAT? Or am I reading that wrongly?

    ohh the shop in the neighbourhood.. there was some activity in the shop a week ago or so if I remember well.. I guess we ll find out soon.

    You're correct, there's a significant VAT debt outstanding, so it was probably HMRC who initiated the action.
    Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

    Thread revival as I've been watching some of their YouTube videos recently and they're nicely done. They don't seem to struggle to get high value stock, although the VAT dispute with HMRC for the previous trading entity is yet to be resolved seemingly with debts of >£2m.

    The joys of Ltd Co status that allow the director to carry on seemingly largely unscathed, for now at least, especially when the substantive debtor often seems to be the taxpayer,
