    What watch for £100

I've got to choose a leaving present gift from my employer budget £100. I'm struggling but thought I might choose a daily beater so suggestions please. I'm guessing I need to explore the Seiko range but open to suggestions. To try and help here are some criteria
    No larger than 42 mm
Must have date and clear face
Quite like the idea of a chrono possibly the civilian Pulsar gen 2 (although the second hand not hitting the markers might drive me a little crazy - or are my expectations too high at this price ?)
No G shock or dress style

    Thanks for any input

Edifice range seems wide and well regarded. I think some will fit in budget.

I recently got a Casio Edifice for about £50.00 ,not a bad watch for the small outlay.

Another vote for the Edifice that gets universal acclaim. Best watch under £100 (probably). The EDV-100 is a 40mm three hander with date, applied indices, screw down crown, screw case back and 100m WR. Comes in white, blue or black dial. Plenty of YT vids.

Citizen, Seiko, Timex are the brands I'd be looking at. Some options under 100 quid:

I'd go with the Citizen, but it's 1mm too big for your spec so maybe the Timex.

As mentioned above, a citizen ecodrive on sale could give you a great option.

    Some of those look great!

Did you pay import tax on yours if you don’t mind me asking?

I bought a brand new Orient Ray 2 from Creation Watches for £100 - Automatic, sporty, good looking. Have a look online, they’re quality watches.

Creation has a plethora of great watches for <£100.

Orient Bambino is my pick for £97:

I ordered my 6105 homage late on Sunday and it arrived today from the UK (South Wales based) seller, excellent service in the circumstances.

Initial impressions of the watch are very good indeed. I would recommend you give them a try

Timex is the first watch that came to my mind.

If you can get an Orient for that money, that would be good too.

Without doubt the best watch I ever bought for sub £100 was this. In house movement, heritage, day/date, timeless design, 37mm, amazing lume. Seiko 5’s are the king of this genre I reckon.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to provide input. Its provided some focus to the hunt.

Unfortunately my employer will only source from a UK based retailer so that does rule out some of the suggestions

    Stay safe everyone
